resident of this city, died suddenly
this morning at her home,
756 Fourth street. ,
Surviving are her husbrnd, Fred
J. Allen, and five daughters, the
Misses Orace H. and Camillus Allen,
Mrs. Andrew J. Sklmln, Mrs.
Thomas Tyrrell, all of this city, and
Mrs. Roland McDougall, Charleston,
W. Va.
Funeral services will be held on
Monday at 8:16 ajn. at the home
and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's of
the Cataract church. Interment will
be in Gate of Heaven cemetery.

Joseph Allen, 41 years old. of 357
Portage road, formerly associated
with his father, Fred J. Allen, in
the contracting business here, died
in Mount St. Mary's hospital last
night. The funeral will be held
from the fmaily home at 8:30 a.m.
Monday, with services at St. Mary's
church at 9 a.m.
Mr. Allen was born in Niagara
Falls and lived here all his life. He
attended St. Mary's parochial school
and the Niagara Falls high school
and was connected with his father's
business until the firm became in-
active a few years ago. Since that
time he had been connected with
the A. V. Byram Coal company.
He is survived by his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred J. Allen and five
sisters, Mrs. Grace Brett, Mrs. A.
J. Skimin, Mrs. James Rosa and
Mrs. Thomas tyrell, Jr., all of this
city, and Mrs. Rolan McDougall, of
Charleston, W. Va.

Jacqueline Marie (Brett) O'Keefe, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on February 3, 2017. Beloved daughter of John and Grace (Allen) Brett; and niece of Ella Skimin; cherished mother of Judy (Bruce) Lager, Joseph (Marty Zajac) O'Keefe, Michael La Shomb, Rita Franc, Mark (Cindy) OKeefe, and Vincent (Michele Colangelo) O'Keefe; grandmother of William and Nicole Brown, Tyler Dimond, Megan, Erin, and Connor O'Keefe, and Lauren and Lindsay O'Keefe; and great-grandmother of Roman Cortes. Also survived by cherished friends, cousins, former spouse, Edward O'Keefe; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Jackie was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1949 and from D'Youville College with a B.A. in 1953. She earned a Master of Arts and Teaching degree from Niagara University in 1973. Jackie worked for many years as an executive secretary at Nuttall Gear Corporation. In later years, she worked at the Niagara Falls Public Library. A lifelong Catholic, she especially enjoyed laughing with her family, reading books, listening to music, watching movies, knitting, and holding babies.
All are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY on Saturday, March 11th at 10 AM. Please meet at the church. Memorial offerings can be made to Catholic Charities or a charity of one's choice.
