    Notes:

    Bruce G. Wojick, Sr.
     Jun-05-2022
Wojick, Bruce G. Sr. of Grand Island, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 5, 2022. Survived by his dearest soul-mate and wife of 25 years, Rosemary (nee Conaway). Son of the late Marian and Jeanette Wojick. Beloved father of Bruce (Cindy) Wojick, Matthew (Julie) Wojick, Jessica (Maria Rosa) Wojick, Mark (Mikaela) Wojick and Joshua (Leah) Wojick. Dearest step-father of Michelle (Thomas Brown) Mulvena, Michael (Michele) Mulvena and Denise (Aaron) Clause. Greatest Papa/Grampa Bruce of Benjamin, Leah, Michael Jr., Emily, Vito, Alexandrea, Mia, Liam, Austin, Brennan, Maxwell and Grace. Predeceased by grandchildren Cameron and Keagan. Many other family members and friends will miss Bruce deeply. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church 2100 Baseline Rd., Grand Island Monday June 20 at 9:30 AM. The family will receive condolences at the church prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s name to the DeGlopper Memorial Foundation c/o Charles DeGlopper Memorial VFW Post 9249 or the St. Jude’s Children Hospital. Bruce was employed by Niagara Falls Public Schools, retiring as a special education teacher at Gaskill Middle School after 28 years.  Bruce’s true passion was as a US Custom and Border Protection Agent (later as an Agent for US Homeland Security) for 17 years where he received many accommodations for his service. He was very active in the Charles N. DeGlopper VFW Auxiliary where he was the treasurer for the organization for many years. Recently he participated with the VFW’s Honor Guard and played taps during all services. Bruce loved being outdoors spending time fishing and hunting. On most days you could find Bruce sitting outside on his porch looking out over the river and keeping an eye on activities in the neighborhood. Visiting Bruce meant that you would be greeted with the soft sounds of jazz music playing in the background, and if one of his favorite songs came on you were required to get up and dance with him!
