  1. 1.  Margaret (Peggy) was born about 1943 in MA; died on 23 Jun 2015 in Yarmouthport, Barnstable County, MA.

    Notes:

    Margaret "Peggy" Ganshaw, 72 of Yarmouthport, MA, passed away suddenly at home on June 23, 2015. She was the loving wife of David W. Ganshaw for 53 years. Peggy was born and raised on Cape Cod, she was a true native.

    Peggy was a girl scout, she sang in the choir at the First Congregational Church in Yarmouthport, and worked at the First National Bank of Yarmouth as a bookkeeper. She was a waitress at the Dolphin Restaurant for 50+ years and worked as a Restorative Aide at Epoch of Harwich for over 20 years. She was a member of the Hyannis Elks Lodge #1549 and a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Hyannis.

    She met the love of her life in the summer of 1961 on a blind date, and they brought four wonderful children into their lives. Peggy enjoyed Sandy Neck and the Wequaquet Lake Yacht Club with her family when the kids were young. She loved Cape Cod & it's beaches and traveling to the Caribbean and Florida and had an especially great time in their last vacation in April.

    She was the mother of Linda G. Inkley and her life partner, Geoffrey Antoine of South Yarmouth, Kirsten Ganshaw of Worcester, Gretchen & Tim Sheehan of South Dennis and Dieter & Mary Sue Ganshaw of Harwich. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Preston & Shauna Inkley of Lancaster, CA, Taylor W. Inkley of Houston, TX, Lexa C. Inkley of Manhattan, NY, Thomas F. Sheehan & his partner Rachelle Elizabeth Currie of Hyannis. Katerina & Josephine Ganshaw of Harwich, her great grandson, Thomas Francis Sheehan VI, of Hyannis; her niece Maribeth Cash Nickelson of Yarmouthport ,and many, many more beloved nieces & nephews, all of her Dolphin friends & family and associates at Epoch.

    Visiting hours will be on Sunday, June 28 from 4-7 pm with an Elks service at 6 pm at Morris, O'Connor & Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, June 29 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Chapel, Summer Street, Yarmouthport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hyannis Elks Scholarship Fund, 852 Bearses Way, Hyannis, MA 02601.
