  1. 1.  BURG, Charles was born about 1863 in Mohawk Hill, Lewis County, NY; died on 17 Jan 1944 in Vernon Center, Oneida County, NY.

    Vernon-Charles Burg, 81. died
    Jan. 17, 1944, in his home here
    following a lingering illness.
    He was born in Mohawk Hill
    near Boonville, son of George and
    Mary Brick Burg. Whenhe was
    an infant the famiy moved to Ver-
    non Center. In 1889 he married
    Miss Frances Ammon.
    He resided in Vernon Center for
    10 years, following the ooccupation
    of farmer. In 1920 the ocuple
    moved to this village where he was
    employed by the N. A. Tyler Lum-
    ber Company for a number of
    years after which he retried. Mrs.
    Burg died in 1932.
    The was a member of Vernon
    Center Brotherhood and attended
    the Presbyterian Church.
    He leaves several nephews and
    nieces, including Charles A. Burg
    with whom he resided for several
    years.
    Funeral services will be held
    from the home at 2 p.m. Thursday
    the Rev. Ralph W. Vosburgh, Ed-
    menton, officiating. Interment will
    be in the Vernon Center Cemetery.

    Charles married AMMON, Frances in 1889. Frances (daughter of AMMON, Christopher) was born about 1867; died on 8 Dec 1932 in Vernon, Oneida County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
