    NIAGARA FALLS — Sheila I. Moran, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2012, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

    She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on April 14, 1938, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Jeanne E. (Nassoiy) Richardson.

    Sheila attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1956. She was employed with Niagara University, E.F. Hutton and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center over the years, but her true profession was that of a loving and nurturing mother and homemaker.

    Sheila loved baking, reading books, creating craft work with her grandchildren and nieces and nephews, but her greatest love was being surrounded by her family and friends around the kitchen table.

    She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Moran, who died on February 16, 2001; they were married in Sacred Heart Church on November 22, 1956.

    Sheila is survived by three children, Mary J. (fiance Robert Szynkowski) Hall and Daniel J. Moran, both of Niagara Falls, and Paul J. Moran of Lewiston; four grandchildren, Alexander Hall, Alysa, Madeline and Olivia Moran; two sisters, Barbara (Christopher) Wilkins of Buffalo, NY and Anne (Henry) Hooks of Niagara Falls, NY. She was the sister-in-law of Nancy (late Richard) Nichols and John (Gladys) Moran; special cousins, Patricia (Stephen) Lochren and Geraldine (John) Bennett; along with many loving nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews; cousins and her canine couch companion, Boomer. Sheila was the sister of the late Catherine Martinez and great-aunt of the late Christian Kochan.

    The family will be present on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:00 AM, at St. Raphael Roman Catholic Parish, College and Macklem Avenues, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Ivan Skenderovic officiating. Memorials may be made in her name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
