widow of William L. Ulrich, who

Robert S. Arlington 93, of Lockport, NY husband of the late Loraine Bentley Arlington entered into rest on Saturday November 04, 2017 in Briody's HCF. Born on September 23, 1924 in Lockport, NY to the late George and Grace (Southard) Arlington. Robert worked as a Statistician at Harrison Radiator retiring after 41 years. Surviving are his step- daughter's; Diane Cervi of Gasport and Debra (Michael) Wheeler of Lockport; step grandchildren Ronald (Heidi) Cervi, Nicole (John) Santarsiero, Carrie (David) Dzierba and Sean Wheeler. Robert is also survived by several great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday November 9th, 2017 at 11:00AM in the Christ Episcopal Church 7145 Fieldcrest Dr. Lockport, NY 14094. Marilyn Y. Kress, 79, of Lockport, passed away peacefully on Thursday (April 28, 2016) at Medina Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 16, 1936 in Middleport, NY, a daughter of the late Gerald and Marjorie Anderson Vanderwalker.
Marilyn enjoyed baking, gardening and the scenes of nature. Her main joy in life was spending time with her loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Russell J. Kress, who died on February 28, 2012.
Mother of the late David Kress and sister of the late Clifford Vanderwalker. Survivors include her daughter, Jean Bedford of Akron; four sons, James (Beverly) Kress of Lockport, Robert Kress of Lockport, Edward (Sandy) Kress of Gasport and Brian (Brenda) Kress of Newfane. Also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

John E. “Mac” McIntosh, Jr. of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 in Niagara Hospice House. Born on May 25, 1939 in Lockport, he was the son of the late John E. and Thelma (Ulrich) McIntosh. After graduating from Lockport High School and State University of New York at Delhi, John married Dorothy Chambers on August 7, 1960. In 1959, he joined his father and brother in the family business of McIntosh & McIntosh. Today his son, John McIntosh III owns the business. Licensed Land Surveyor in 15 states, he received the Surveying Excellence Award from the National Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He was president of Niagara Frontier Land Surveyors Association and also president of the New State Land Surveyors Association. An active member of First English Lutheran Church, he served as president for many years. John and his brother developed Highland Glens Recreational Community in Wyoming County. He was a scoutmaster and on the executive board of the Lewiston Trail Council. He was on the advisory committee at Paul Smiths College for their surveying curriculum.Dedicated to his family and profession, he was still working at 80 years old. John was an avid sportsman, hunter and conservationist with many local and national memberships and activities.Surviving are his wife, Dorothy “Dotty” McIntosh; four children, John E. “Jay” (Mary) McIntosh III, Heather (Stan) Noon, Jennifer (Jim) Quinones and Monica Zolovick; eleven grandchildren, Myriah (Michael) Meyer, Jessica (Cory) Crawford, John “Jed” McIntosh IV, Mallory (Pete) Frischholz, Jordan (Tyler) Walker, James and Joshua Quinones and George, Ryan, Nicholas and Madeline Zolovick; five great grandchildren, Tucker and Maverick Crawford, Peyton and Savannah Meyer and Molly Walker; sister, Sylvia (Martin) Shaft and several nieces and nephews. Obituary of Thelma McIntosh Walker

Thelma McIntosh Walker, 77, of Lockport, NY, died Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Saranac Village at Will Rogers in Saranac Lake, NY, where she had resided for the past year.
Born in Lockport on November 18, 1941, she was the daughter of John E. and Thelma Ulrich McIntosh.
Thelma attended Lockport Senior High School, where she was known to friends as “Mickey,” and graduated with the Class of 1959. She then enrolled in the medical office assisting program at Erie County Technical Institute, served as class secretary for two years and graduated in 1961.
Thelma raised three sons from her first marriage – Andrew, Daniel and Christopher – in Lockport. She later went back to school and studied office technology at Niagara County Community College. Thelma worked for M&T Bank for more than 25 years, serving as an executive secretary to the bank’s top administrators in Buffalo, before retiring in 2013.
On Valentine’s Day in 1991, Thelma married James Walker, who she had met while working at General Physics Corporation of Lockport. They shared 26 wonderful years together: traveling often to visit family, spending time with their grandchildren, and enjoying life at home on Walnut Street with their beloved dog, Sandy.
After Jim passed away in 2017, Thelma moved to Saranac Lake to be closer to her grandchildren. She became a fixture at their concerts, plays, dance recitals and baseball games. The kids treasured visits with their “Grammy Walker.” She also made new friends during her time at Will Rogers.
Thelma was a sweet, kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed collecting antiques, cross-stich, reading and researching her family’s history and genealogy.
Thelma is predeceased by her beloved husband, James Walker, and her brother, Douglas McIntosh. She is survived by three sons, Christopher (Kate-Lyn), Daniel and Andrew (Helene) Knight; five grandchildren, Emily, Ryan and Ethan, and Linsi and Marisa; two stepsons, Andrew (Shannon) and Brian Walker; brother, John E. (Dorothy) McIntosh; sister, Sylvia (Martin) Shaft and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, May 23 at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY, with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

Richard A. Cain passed away Monday February 12, 2024.  Born in Lockport on July 19, 1940, he was the son of the late George and Ruth Arlington Cain, step son of  the late Lloyd and Geraldine Beardsley.   Dick was the Co-owner of Niagara Fiberboard in Lockport.  He loved wintering Florida with his wife and going on vacations with his children and grandchildren, which became known as “Cain-Cation.”
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Susan (nee Bye) Cain; father of Scott (Megan) Cain, Mark (Joelle) Cain, Dennis (Joelle) Cain, Kevin (Krista) Cain and Michael (Aimee) Cain; grandfather of Brennon (Riddhi), Benjamin, Alexander, Mitchell, Joseph, Emma, Aidan, Sophia, Maximus and Grayson.
