    SANBORN-Cornelius C. Ingwersen, 89, of 4065 Lockport Road, died Monday (Jan. 2,1967) in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born on St Johnsburg, Sept 30, 1877, he was the son of Peter and Mary Oderboltz Ingwersen. He had owned and operated a farm at the Lockport Road address for 60 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda. Survivors include his widow, the former Mary Mellenthin; two daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Ruth) Human and Mrs. Carl (Margaret) Goerss both of Sanborn, four sisters, Mrs. Katherine Ottermann, Port Colborne, Out., Mrs. Fred Ellman, North Tonawanda, Mrs. William Stenzel and Mrs. Clara Gombert, both of Niagara Falls; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home here, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Rev. Enno A. Schmoock of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating.     Funeral services for Margaret Goerss were conducted today in the Rhoney Funeral Home. Burial was in North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria.
    Mrs. Goerss, 85, of Lockport Road, died Sunday (July 26, 1992) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda.
    The former Margaret Ingwersen was born in Wheatfield. She worked as a clerk at International Paper Co. for several years and also worked at a family vegetable farm.
    She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda.
    Her husband, Paul Goerss, died in 1988.
    Survivors include a son, Arnold C.; a daughter, Arlene, and a sister, Ruth Human.(Graves)

    He was born in North Tonawanda, NY on December 11, 1933, the son of the late Carl and Margaret [Ingwersen] Goerss.

    Mr. Goerss attended school at Wheatfield #1, St Paul's Lutheran and Trott Vocational High School. He operated the family farm in Sanborn and was a foreman for the New York State Department of Transportation for 34 years, before retiring in 1994.

    He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, the Pekin Fire Company and the Sanborn Historical Society. He enjoyed going to auctions and parades.

    Mr. Goerss is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pearl [Kiser] Goerss, they were married on September 28, 1957, three sons, Stephen (Diane) Goerss of Lockport, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, and Arnold Goerss, Jr. of Sanborn, one daughter Susie (Charly) Kinne of Lockport, one sister, Arlene M. Goerss of the Town of Wheatfield, nine grandchildren Jenni (Nick) Paterson, Holly, Sabrina, Nathan, Heather, Amy, Stacey, Timothy and Hayden, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Private funeral services were held at the convenience of family at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY.

    Memorials may be made in his name to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120 or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

    Arlene M. Goerss, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. She was born in North Tonawanda, NY, on July 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Carl and Margaret (Ingwersen) Goerss.
    Miss Goerss was a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield. She had resided at Crestwood Health Care Center for the past several years, were she served as President of the Resident Council and volunteered for all types of events that took place there.
    Miss Goerss is survived by her sister-in-law, Pearl Goerss; a niece, Susie (Charly) Kinne; three nephews, Stephen (Diane) Goerss, Scott (Kimberly) Goerss and Arnold Goerss, Jr.; also several great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arnold C. Goerss.
    Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY. Arrangements by the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
