    Mildred L. Mietz, an original member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Wolcottsville Fire Company, died Tuesday in Medina Memorial Healthcare System after a long illness. She was 85.
    Born Mildred Pafk in Basom, she graduated from Akron High School. She lived many years in Wolcottsville and wintered in Florida from 1976 to 2001.
    Mrs. Mietz was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of Ladies Aid.
    She also was a member of the Wolcottsville Home Bureau and had been involved in the 4-H program in Royalton.
    Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Lloyd E.; two sons, Lee of Williamsburg, Va., and Lynn of Medina; a brother, Lawrence Pafk of Akron; two sisters, Ethel House of Kansas City, Kan., and Arlene Totten of Akron; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
    Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Route 31, Middleport. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, West Shelby.

    Arlene Pafk Totten
     passed away on July 17, 2019. She was born in Medina, NY on June 8, 1930 to the late Frank and Minnie (Hellert) Pafk.
    Arlene married the late Howard Totten on November 14, 1946 and they had three children together. She and Howard were owner/operators of Totten Trucking, a long haul trucking company for forty- nine years. Arlene liked to bake and was a very accomplished seamstress. She especially loved quilt making. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and enjoyed taking care of her family.
    Arlene is survived by her son, Duane (late Cindy) Totten and a daughter, Bonnie (late Jerry) (David Leavitt) VanBuren all of Akron. Six grandchildren; Lyle Wagner of TX, Jeff (Kim) Wagner of IN, Daniel (Angie) DiPaolo, Michael Milhollen, Andrew (Tanya) Totten, and Stacey (Eric) Hess all of Akron; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild also survive her. Arlene is predeceased by her husband, Howard Totten and daughter, Carol Milhollen. 
    Funeral Services will be Private. Arrangements were made by Ross Funeral Home of Akron, LLC, 10 Eckerson Avenue, Akron, NY. Flowers are respectfully declined.  Charitable contributions may be made in Arlene's memory to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 6379 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY 14001 and Wolcottsville Fire Company, 6337 Wolcottsville Rd., Akron, NY 14001.
