North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 11/11/1970

Miss Eva E. Bacon, 92-year-old
native of Tonawanda who taught in
Tonawanda public schools for 50 years,
died today at the North Town Nursing
Home, North Tonawanda.
Miss Bacon resided at 332 Broad
St. She was a graduate of Buffalo
Normal School.
Miss Bacon retired from teaching in
1949. She was a member of the New
York State Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include a sister-in-law.
Mrs. Isabelle Bacon; a niece, Miss
Maryalice Bacon, and two nephews,
William Bacon Sr. and George Bacon
Sr., all of Tonawanda.
Services will be conducted at 1:30
p.m. Friday at John O. Roth Funeral
Home, Morgan and William Streets,
Tonawanda. by the Rev. Harold E.
Tyson.
Burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery.
