Cemetery. Recitation of the rosary at
the funeral home Sunday at .7 p.m.

Long active In the athletic life of
the city, Peter B. Banks, 46, of
3036 Monroe Ave., died today
(May 12, 1955) in M»- St. Mary's
Hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Banks once managed the
Phoenix football team. He was
city golf champion at one time in
the 1930s and was active also in
baseball and more recently in bowling.
A native of Poland, Mr. Banks
had resided here 44 years. His last
employment was in the maintenance
department at Niagara Street
School. Prior to that he was manr
ager of the Grand Bowling Alleys
and for 14 years was employed by
the Acheson Graphite Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Stephania Banks; two sons, Peter
B. Banks Jr. and Robert Banks*, a
daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Kowalski;
his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Bak,
all of this city; two brothers, William
Bak, this city, and Joseph Bak,
master sergeant, U. S. Air Force,
Hawaii; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie
Beczkowski and Mrs. Estelle Lazaration,
both of this city, and Mrs.
Charlotte Madau, Bellflower,
Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m.
tomorrow at the Zajac Funeral
Home.
Prayers will be said there at
10:30 a.m. Saturday and a Requiem
High Mass at 11 o'clock at St.
Stanislaus' Kostka Church. Burial
will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery

Mary Fegatilli, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Aniela (Bak) Beczkowski.

Mary attended local schools and on February 26, 1949 she married Salvatore J. Fegatilli in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Fegatilli predeceased her on September 13, 2003. Mary worked as an unemployment clerk for the New York State Department of Labor in Niagara Falls, NY for over fifteen years. She enjoyed going to the casino, and spending time with family and friends.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Paula (Anthony) Guetta and Nancy (John) Mastromatteo; four grandchildren, Anthony J. (Shanna) Guetta, Danielle (Neal) Urban, Adam (Elizabeth) Mastromatteo, and Natalie Mastromatteo; four great-grandchildren, Julia and Elena Guetta, Gabriella and Emmalynn Mastromatteo; a sister, Irene (late Peter) Bak, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry (late Millie) Beczkowski and Stanley (late Jennie) Beczkowski.

There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Friday November 6th at 10 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th St. and Independence Ave. Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. Private interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Beloved wife of the late Peter Bak; loving mother of JoAnne Cheff-Hambridge (James) and Pamela Bak Torres-Baker; cherished grandmother "Mamie" of Joseph (Jody) Chadima III, Kimberlee Connolly, Kristin (Brian) Wood, Gregory (Hannah) Torres, Stefany Torres and Amanda Walsh; devoted great-grandmother "Mamie" of June Ann, Joey, Justin and Juliet Chadima, Ava, Ray, and Benjamin Wood, Alina Torres, Raymond and Justin Feliciano; she was very close to her nieces, Paula Guetta and Nancy Mastromatteo. Irene was store manager for Gem Jewelers in Lewiston, NY for over 20 years. She also owned and operated Lewiston Liquors, before retiring. She loved gardening and enjoyed going to the casino.
