resident of the Tonawandas for
more than 30 years, Mr. Barber was
a member of the Knights of Columbus
in the Tonawandas and was
employed with Erie County Savings
Bank before retiring.
He is survived by his wife,
Margaret (nee Lochren) Barber,
two daughters, Mrs. Edward
( M a r y ) K r u s z c z y n s k i of
Cheektowaga and Mrs. Edwin
(Barbara) Ryan of North Tonawanda;
a brother, Howard (Martha)
Barber of Jamestown, also surviving
are six grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren
The family will be present from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral
Home, Inc., Adam and Seymour
Sts., Tonawanda where prayers will
be said at 9 a m Tuesday followed
by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery,
Ovid, N.Y. If desired, memorials to
the Skilled Nursing Facility at De-
Graff Memorial Hospital are preferred
by the family.

NORTH TONAWANDA — Barbara (nee Barber) Ryan, age 80, of North Tonawanda, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late LaVergne and Margaret (nee Louchren) Barber and had been a lifelong resident of the Tonawandas. Mrs. Ryan had been a teacher at St. Francis Parochial School in Tonawanda before retiring, and was an avid artist who was active with the painting group at Pendleton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edwin J. Ryan, Jr.; four children, Edwin (Lynn) Ryan III, Colleen (David) Rousselle, Peggy (Joel) Gebhardt and Kevin (Terri) Ryan. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

There is no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday at St. Francis Chapel on Adam Street in Tonawanda. Friends invited. If desired, memorials to the American Diabetes Association are preferred by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the HAMP FUNERAL HOME, Inc., Tonawanda.
