She was bom in Utica. the daughter
of George and Rena Clark Allen, and
was educated in the Utica school sys
tem. In 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan, she
was married to
Bartholomew Basi.
Mr Bail died in
1974 Mrs. Basi was
employed at the
Marcy Psychiatric
Center. She was a
member of St.
Mark's Church.
North Utica; the
Ladies Auxiliary of
the Utica Post Office
N.A.L.C.
Draneh ff?6i and a
charter member of
the American Cancer Society of Utica.
Mrs. Basi is survived by her adopted
parents, Malcolm and Kathleen (Dorothy)
Alien of Utica; two sons, Malcolm
A. Basi of Rome and Rocco S. Basi of
Utica; one sister, Miss Anna M. Allen
of Utica; one half sister. Mrs. Wanita
Maloof of Syracuse; one brother.
Walter James Allen of Utica; two half
brothers. Robert and William Allen of
Syracuse. There are also two grandsons,
Malcolm A. Basi. Jr. and Rocco
S Basi, Jr.; several nieces, nephews
and cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday morning
at 9 o'clock at the Heintz Funeral
Home, 406 Herkimer Rd , and at 9:30 at
St Mark's Church. Interment will be in
Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours at the
funeral home are Friday 2-4 and 7-9
