Mrs. Gertrude L. Doty, 69,
of 1174 Haeberle Ave. was
pronounced dead on arrival at
Memorial Hospital Tuesday
night (April 9, 1968) after she
was stricken by an apparent
heart attack while bowling at
the Central Lanes, 625 19th
St.
Mrs. Doty, a native of Detroit,
had bee na resident of
this city for the last 42 years.
She was a past noble grand
of Rebekah Lodge 195 IOOF.
past national " president of
Mothers of Men in Service
° (MOMS), and past president of
Onyakara Council 168, Degree
of Pocahontas.
Mrs. Doty was also a memof
the Women's Benefit Association,
the Eunice Circle of
Pierce Avenue United Presbyterian
Church and the ladies
auxiliary, Patriarch Militant
LAPM.
She js survived by her husband,
Richard T. Doty; a son,
Robert Doty, Milford, Ohio; a
daughter, Mrs. Justin (Eleanor)
Bayne, this city; two brothers,
Ewald Danziger, Detroit, and
George Danziger, Lbs Angeles;
a sister, Miss Marie Danziger,
Detroit, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 11 a.m. Saturday at
the Otto Redanz Funeral Home
by the Rev. Roger Purdy, minister
of Pierce Avenue United
Presbyterian Church. Burial
will be. in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will be present
from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
beginning Thursday.

Obituary of Eleanor Bayne

Eleanor D. Bayne, age 94 of Ransomville NY, died Friday October 19, 2018 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, after a long illness.
 
Eleanor was born April 28.1924 in Flint, MI, the daughter of the late Richard and Gertrude (Danzinger) Doty and was raised in Niagara Falls. She was a graduate of Trott Vocational High School and had attended the University of Buffalo. On August 29, 1949 she married Justin A. Bayne who predeceased her on May 19, 2000. Eleanor had worked as a secretary for Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls and Dover, NH. She retired at age 65 from Emerson Electric on Grand Island.
 
Eleanor was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church. She was a member and past President of the Lake Ontario Post #313 V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary as well as a member of he Lewiston Seniors and a Volunteer at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.
 
She is survived by her son, Rick (Joann) Bayne; her grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Bayne; a sister in law, Isabelle Doty; a niece, Dr. Stacey Doty, DVM; and two nephews, Justin (Sue) and Thomas "Tag" (Heather) Genter. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Doty; a niece, Ray Ann Genter; a nephew, Robert Doty, Jr; and a sister in law, Vernette Genter.
 
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Tuesday from 4 - 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 24, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Worley officiating. Burial will follow in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransomville Vol. Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, PO Box 239, Ransomville, NY 14131.
