Albert W., age 78 years, passed
away suddenly Sunday morning,
August 14, at his residence, Royalton
road, Royalton. He is survived
by one son and two daughters, Ernest
of Royalton and Mrs. Frank Mc-
Carger and Miss Gertrude Becker of
Alabama Center; five grandchildren,
one brother Julius Becker of
Gasport and one sister Mrs. Charles
Buth of Wolcottsville. Funeral will
be held Tuesday, August 16, at the
residence of his son Ernest at 2:30
P. M. Standard Time. Burial in
Royalton Mt. Ridge cemetery, the
Reverend Theodore Kuehner officiating.

AKRON - A native of Germany,
and former Wolcottsville resident,
Mrs. Charles Buth died early
this morning (Sept. 10, 1957) at
the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Harold Borchert. 156 Main St., Ak
ron. She had been in failing
health for some time.
Born Dec. 30, 1964 in Germany,
she was a daughter of Charles and
Mary Becker, both of whom died
while Mrs. Buth was a girl. She
then came alone to the United
States where she settled outside
of Wolcottsville with brothers who
had preceded her here.
Nov. 29, 1888 she was married
to Charles Buth, Wolcottsville, and
the couple established ressidence on
the Fisk Rd., Wolcottsville, where
six children were both. Mrs. Buth
became a Gold Star Mother fol-
lowing her son, John's death in
World War II.
Mr. and Mrs. Buth celebrated
their Golden Wedding Anniversaty
in 1928 and Mr. Buth died in 1944.
Another son, Fred, died seven
years ago. For the last few years
she had been spending part of the
year with her daughter, Mrs. Bor-
chert, in Akron and the other with
another daughter, Mrs. Franklin
Wollenberg, Middleport.
Other survivors include another
daughter, Mrs. Louis Beyers, Ak-
ron; one son, Herman, Wolcotts-
ville; seven grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bernhardt
Funeral Home, 130 Main St..
Akron, where prayer service will
be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30
followed by funeral services from
the Trinity Lutheran Church, Wolcottsville,
at 2. The Rev. Herman
Ewald, pastor of the church, will
officiate, with burial in Trinity Lutheran
Church Cemetery

74, of 156 Main St., Akron, died
unexpectedly Thursday in Akron.
Born in Wolcottsville, June 16,
1895, Mrs. Borchert was the daughter
of Charles and Ida Buth.
She was a member of the St.
John's Lutheran Church in Akron.
Surviving are her husband,
Harold J.; one daughter, Mrs.
Howard (Arlene) Olds of Lockport;
three grandchildren, Janis,
Clifford and Jeffrey; a sister,
Mrs. Franklin Wollenberg of
Middleport; a brother, Herman
Buth of Wolcottsville; and several
nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late
Fred and John Buth and Nora
Beyer.

Saturday at the Bernhardt Funeral

Arlene B. Olds passed away December 23, 2020 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Born March 14, 1922 in Akron, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Anna (Buth) Borchert.
Arlene was an office worker for Duriron in Buffalo. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Olds, in 1986.
Arlene was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Lockport until moving to Canandaigua, NY, to be closer to family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Janice (John) Murphy of Naples, NY, Clifford (Paula) Olds of Leland, NC, and Jeffrey Olds of Rochester, NY; and grandchildren, Laura Olds, Mary-Kate (Josh) Lewis, Brian Murphy, Caitlin Murphy; and one great-grandchild, Isaac Lewis, all who brought great joy to her later years.
Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
