    Margaret “Midge” Mary (nee Spencer) Hurtubise, age 82, of North Tonawanda, passed away Monday January 5, 2015 at Weinburg Campus in Amherst. Mrs. Hurtubise was born on August 26, 1932 in Rochester NY, daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah Spencer.
    Mrs.Hurtubise was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in North Tonawanda, where she was a choir member. She was a very active member of the Red Jacket Club in North Tonawanda.
    Mrs. Hurtubise was an artist and poet; she had painted several of the Carousel Horses that adorn Oliver Street.
    Mrs. Hurtubise is predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Clarence “Herk” E. Hurtubise who passed away in 2012.

    Mrs. Hurtubise is survived by her loving children; Kenneth (Deborah), Stephen (Sharon), Michael Hurtubise, Betsy Jackson, Patricia Geist and Nancy (Wyatt) Yee;
    Sister of James (JoAnne) Spencer, Eleanor (Edward) May and Daniel (Ellen) Spencer.
    She was a proud grandmother of 15.
    The family will greet relatives and friends on SUNDAY from 4 to 8 PM in the WATTENGEL Funeral Home 307 Oliver St. North Tonawanda
    A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on MONDAY at 10:00 AM from St. Jude the Apostle Parish, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda.
    In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Red Jacket Club or Hospice of Buffalo.
