The body of S/Sgt. Harold D.
Beckett, son of Mrs. Peaarl Beckett,
934 South avenue, will arrive at
the New York Central railroad sta-
tion at 8:56 a.m. tomorrow. He was
killed in action in Burma on July 12, 1944.
Born in Oswego, Sgt. Beckett
came to Niagara Falls at the age of
15 and was employed at E. I. du
Pont de Nemours and company for
seven years, prior to his enlistment
in the army on August 11, 1943.
After training as a machine
funner at Camp Van Dorn, Miss.
he left for overseas duty on Apr.
23, 1944, arriving in India in May.
He was then sent to Burma.
Sgt. Beckett is survived by his
mother, a brother, Glenn L. Beck-
ett, and a sister, Mrs. John Werth,
all of this city.
Services will be held at 2 p.m.
Saturday at the Bell Funeral par-
lor, with the Rev. George Keeling
officiating. Interment will be in
Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Dorothy Beckett Hagar,
45, of 508 27th St., died
Tuesday (Feb..8, 1966) in Memorial
Hospital after a year's
illness.
Born in Lewiston, Mrs. Hagar
lived in this area all her
life. She WAS a graduate of
Trott Vocational High School
and a member of St. James
Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband'
Clarence Hagar; a son
Glenn Hagar; her mother,
Mrs. Pearl Beckett; and a
brother, Glenn L. Beckett, all
of this city.
Funeral services will be
held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the
Otto Redanz Funeral Home,
with Rev. Bertram Croop. pastor
of St. James Methodist
Church, officiating. Burial will
be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will be present
at the funeral home Thursday
and Friday from 3 to 5 and 7
to 9 p.m. Contributions to the
American Cancer Society will
be acceptable.as tributes.
