    WHTESBORO - Ambrose L.
    Beha, 85, of 48 Green Acres
    Drive and formerly of Waterville,
    died yesterday in St.
    Elizabeth Hospital after a short
    illness. He was born in West
    Leyden.
    He married Emma Seiter in
    1914. She died in 1946.
    He had taught school in Point
    Rock, Camden and Florence
    and later worked as a carpenter.
    He later taught speech
    in Children's Hospital, Utica
    for 10 years.
    He was known as the Rosary
    Man for the many rosarys he
    made. He was a member of St.
    Francis Church of Oneida, St.
    Bernard's Church of Waterville
    and St. Anne's of Utica.
    He is survived by three sons,
    John of Onario, N.Y., Donald of
    Utica and Joseph Beha of
    Waterville; four daughters,
    Mrs. Raymond (Cecelia)
    Roldan of Sparta, N.J.," Mrs.
    Walter (Dorothy) Dunn of
    "Oneida, Mrs Mary Cravotta of
    Whitesboro with whom he bad
    resided and Mrs. Bertha
    Rowley of Waterville; three
    brothers, Raymond and
    William of West Leyden and
    Henry Beha of Columbus, Ohio
    and a sister, Mrs. Theresa
    Nabor of Seattle.
    The funeral will be at 10
    Thursday from the Harry
    Northrop Jr. Funeral Home~and
    -at 10:30 from St. Bernard's
    Church. Waterville. Burial will
    be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.
    Waterville, in the spring.
    Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight
    and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow

    Syracuse, May, 25-Cecelia Rose
    Beha, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Ambrose Beha of West Leyden became
    Sister Mary Jude, Thursday
    at St. Anthony's convent here as
    one of twelve girls between the
    ages of 18 and 20 who entered the
    noviate in the Sisters of the Third
    Order of St. Francis.
    The ceremony took place In the
    chapel of the convent with Very
    Rev. Bede Hess of St. Francis
    college, Provincial of the Order of
    Minor Conventuals, officiating.
    Witnessing the ceremony were the
    parents and relatives of the novices
    and visiting clergymen from
    the parishes in which the young
    women lived before they began
    their postulancy six months ago.
    The religious investiture opened
    with a solemn high mass said by
    the Provincial. The postulants
    entered the chapel wearing white
    bridal costumes with wreath and
    veil and carrying bouquets of May
    bells.
    At the conclusion of the sermon
    by Rev. Daniel Lyons, O. M. C, of
    Seaside Park, N. J., the postulants
    requested and received the holy
    habits which they later donned
    and returned to the chapel where
    they were given their religious
    names.
    As novices the young women will
    remain behind the convent walls
    for two years In the service of
    God before taking their canonical
    vows. Their duties will be those
    of the classroom and hospital in
    preparation for the work to which
    they will devote their lives.
    Among the outstanding activities
    of the order is caring for the leper
    colony at Molokai in Hawaii.

    WHITESBORO - Mrs. Mary B.
    Cravotta, 67, of 48 Green Acres Dr.,
    February 4, 1986, at her home
    after a long illness.
    She was born March 4, 1918, in
    Waterboro, NY, daughter of Ambrose
    and Emma Siter Beha. She attended
    West Leyden schools and later graduated
    from the Utica State Hospital
    School of Nursing in 1939. She married
    Agatino (Scotty) Cravotta in 1949
    in Brooklyn,NY.He died in l972.
    She was employed as an R.N. in
    hospitals in the New York City-area
    and came back to this area in 1965.
    She was a member of St Anne's
    Church, the Ladies of St. Anne's and
    sang in its Senior Choir. She was also
    member of the Heenan Spiritual
    Group for the Handicapped and was a
    volunteer Red Cross worker.
    She is survived by a daughter and
    son-in-law, Ann M. and Richard B.
    Hineline, Whitesboro; a son and
    daughter-in-law, Daniel J. and Judith
    Cravotta, Glens Falls, NY; five grandildren;
    three sisters, Mrs. Raymond
    (Cecelia) Roldon, Vista, NJ, Mrs.
    Walter (Dorothy) Dunn, Oneida, NY
    and Mrs. David (Bertha) Rowley,
    Waterville; three brothers, John
    Beha, Ontario, NY, Donald A. Beha,
    Utica and Joseph Beha, Waterville.
    Services will be held Thursday at
    9:30 a.m. at the Wells & Lloyd Funeral
    Home, 100 Main St., and at 10 a.m. at
    St. Anne's Church, where a Mass of
    Christian Burial will be offered by the
    Rev. Frederick Prevost. Interment in
    Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro,
    Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 Wednes-
    day at the Funeral Home.
    In her memory, donations to Hos-
    pice Care, Inc. are preferred by the
    family.
    Arrangements are with Friedel,
    Williams, Coriale & Edmunds.

    Donald A. Beha, 80, of
    Utica, formerly of Waterville,
    died Tuesday, Oct. 5,
    1999, in Faxton Hospital,
    Utica.
    He was born April 5, 1919,
    in Ava, son of Ambrose and
    Emma Seiter Beha and was a
    1938 graduate of Waterville
    Central School. He was a
    major in the Marine Corps,
    serving in World War II and
    the Korean Conflict. On Feb.
    1, 1947, he married Jean A.
    Kelly in Blessed Sacrament
    Church, Utica. He retired
    from Sears Roebuck and
    Company in 1980 after 30
    years of employment.
    Besides his wife he leaves
    two daughters, Mrs. Frank
    (Judy) Santo of Saugus,
    ' Mass., and Mrs. Shawn
    (Debra) Sullivan of Billerica,
    Mass,; three sons, Michael
    Beha of New Hartford, Timothy
    Beha of Whitesboro and
    Patrick Beha of Washington,
    N. J.; three sisters, Bertha
    Rowley of Waterville, Mrs.
    Walter (Dorothy) Dunn of
    Oneida and Mrs. Dorothy
    Beha of Ontario; a brother,
    Joseph Beha of Waterville;
    six grandchildren, Kelly,
    Heather, Jessica, Christine,
    Kaitlyn and Zachary; nieces,
    and nephews. He was predeceased
    by two sisters, Cecilia
    Roldon and Mary Cravotta
    and a brother, John Beha.
    The funeral was Thursday
    from the Heintz Funeral
    Home, 1517 Whitesboro
    Street, Utica, and from
    Blessed Sacrament Church
    where a Mass of Christian
    Burial was celebrated. Burial
    was in Mount Olivet Cemetery,
    Whitesboro.
