  1. 1.  BEANE, Wayne Kent was born on 26 Jan 1938 in Sutton, Braxton County, WV; died on 1 Jul 2017 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.

    Notes:

    Wayne “John” Beane of Newfane, loving husband of Shirley (Behm) Beane, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017.  Born on January 26, 1938 in Sutton, West Virginia to the late Edmund Byrne Keener and Pearl Hess. 
    Wayne graduated from Atwater High School in Akron, Ohio in 1955.  He moved to Lockport, NY in 1956 where he married Shirley on July 18, 1958. They would have celebrated their 58th Anniversary this year. Wayne worked in production at Harrison Radiator retiring after 30 years in 1986.  Following his retirement, he managed the gift shop at Newfane Hospital for many years until it closed.  Wayne also served as secretary for Allie Brandt’s and Townline Bowling Alley leagues. During his spare time he enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, fishing and loved feeding and watching his birds.
    In addition to his wife, Wayne is survived by his loving children, Mary Beth Beane, Kayla Ann Beane and Patty Ann Beane; grandchildren, Jordan Cunningham and Brianna May Beane; brother, Jim (Yvonne) Beane; sisters, Rose Ann (Late Ronnie) Coffelt and Charlotte Hamrick.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and “Mother Janet (late Okey) Riffle”
    The family of Wayne would like to thank the Odd Fellow & Rebekah Nursing Home for their wonderful care, especially the North Unit.
    Family and friends are welcome to call Thursday, July 6th from 3 – 7 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St. Lockport where Funeral services will immediately follow at 7 PM.  Burial in Cold Springs Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.     Wayne married BEHM, Shirley Mae on 18 Jul 1959 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. Shirley (daughter of BEHM, Arthur and HAAK, Minnie) was born on 29 May 1940 in Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, Niagara County, NY; died on 8 Nov 2020 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.     Obituary of Kayla Beane

    Kayla Beane passed away November 16, 2018 in Niagara Hospice House.  Born January 7, 1965 in Lockport she is the daughter of Shirley (Behm) Beane and late Wayne Beane.  Kayla was a 1983 graduate from Newfane High School and worked for Niagara County in various positions.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, celebrating the holidays, reading, and watching movies.  She enjoyed spending time friends and family.  Kayla fought a courageous battle with breast cancer, she will always be remembered as a caring, giving person always putting others before herself.  
    Besides her mother, Kayla is also survived by her son Jordan Cunningham; sisters Mary Beth Beane and twin Patricia Beane; nieces Brianna Beane, Trisha Oloo, and Mercedes Clark; her aunt RoseAnn Coffelt; also her devoted cat Pumpkin and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, especially the Cunningham family.
    The family would like to thank Roswell Park Cancer Institute and Niagara Hospice for the loving care that Kayla received.   
    Relatives and friends may call Monday, November 19th from 2-7 PM with services following at 7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Prayers of Committal will be held at Cold Spring Cemetery Tuesday Nov. 20th at 11 AM. In celebration of Kayla’s life the family requests that you wear red or bright color. Donations to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Niagara Hospice or to any pet organization would be appreciated.  Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
