William L. Mang, Sr.

SUMMERVILLE, SC — William L. Mang, Sr., 94, of Summerville, SC, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ruth, who passed away this past September.

William was the son of Eugene and Amelia (Smith) Mang. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in England during World War II. He worked at the International Paper Company as a shift foreman for over 25 years. He was also employed by Bell Aerospace and Niagara University until his retirement in 1980.

He was a lifetime member of the LaSalle Sportsman's Club as well as an active member of the Elks, VFW and American Legion.

After retirement, he and his wife moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL, where they resided until moving to Summerville, SC in 2006.

Mr. Mang is survived by his son, William L. Mang, Jr. and his wife, Dru of Hollywood, SC; two grandchildren, John S. Mang of Charlotte, NC and Katie A. Mang of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two step-grandchildren, Matthew C. Robinson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Brittany D. Perrineau of West Hollywood, CA, and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services in Niagara Falls will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
