    Injuries Fatal to
    Walter C. Voelker

    Walter C. Voelker, aged 20, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. William Voelker of the Saun-
    ders Settlement road, died last evening
    shortly after 8 o'clock at Memorial hos-
    pital, from injuries received in a col-
    lision between the motorcycle he was
    riding and a wagon driven by Chief Wil-
    liams of the Tuscarora reservation. The
    accident occurred Wednesday evening,
    October 10, and Voelker ran head-on into
    the read of Williams' rig, on which there
    were no lights. He sustained a broken
    right leg and a fractured skull, and was
    taken to Memorial hospital. He never
    recovered consciousness except partially.
    The body has been removed to the fam-
    ily home and the funeral will be held
    Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, the Rev.
    Herman Brezing officiating. Interment
    will be made in Riverdale cemetery.

Cherished Uncle Wally to the Shaffer and Andrews families, and a few others. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Hartland Central Cemetery, friends invited.
