    of Geneseo, died March 6,
    1976 at Medina Memorial Hospital.
    Born in Portage 84 years
    ago, he was the son of Charles
    and Mary (Parmelee) Bennett.
    He worked as a machinest in
    the Geneseo area for several
    years and was a 50-year member
    of the Geneseo Masonic
    Lodge. Seven years ago he
    moved to Middleport.
    He is survived by his sister,
    Mrs. Evelyn Droman of Middleport;
    a brother, Dr. T. L.
    Bennett of Marietta, Ohio; and
    two nieces, Mrs. Howard
    (Dorothy) Eckel of Clay and
    Mrs. William (Harriett) Lenahan
    of Rochseter.
    Services were held Wednesday
    afternoon at Wallace and
    Heath Funeral Home, Middleport,
    with Rev. Sidney Mayell
    officiatin: burial in Hunts
    Hollow Cemetery, Portage.

    MIDDLEPORT - George P.
    Droman, 46, of 12 Vernon St.,
    died Sunday (April 26, 1970) .at
    his home after suffering a heart
    attack.
    Born Aug. 14, 1923, in this
    village, he was the,son of Wallace
    S. and Evelyn (Bennett)
    Droman.
    He was assistant manager of
    the Middleport branch of the
    Marine Midland Trust Company
    of Western New York and was
    a member of Middleport United
    Methodist Church.
    He was secretary of the Erie-
    Niagara Bankers Association
    discussion ° group, local treasurer
    for the Salvation Army, a
    member and past president of
    the board of directors of the
    Rotary Club, past commander
    of Clute-Phillips Post, American
    Legion, a former fire depart'
    ment member, former campaign
    manager for the American Red
    Cross, a member of the Middleport
    Conservation Club and the
    Middleport. Library Association.
    He served with the U.S. Army
    during World War II in the
    Pacific Theater.
    Survivors include his wife
    Margaret (Antonucci) Droman
    recently elected Middleport vil
    lage clerk; a son, James W
    Droman, and his mother, Mrs.
    Wallace Droman, all of this village;
    a brother, Wayne Droman,
    New Castle, Pa.; two sisters,
    Mrs. Howard (Dorothy)
    Eckel, Syracuse, and Mrs. William
    (Harriet) Lenahan, Rochester,
    and several nieces.and
    nephews.
    Friends may call today and
    Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
    p.m. at the Wallace and Heath
    Funeral Home, where services
    will be held Wednesday at 11
    a.m. The Rev. Alfred Underbill,
    a close friend of the family
    and former pastor of Middleport
    United Methodist Church,
    will officiate. Burial will be in
    St. Stephen's Cemetery, Middle-
    port.
    The family requested that
    contributions be made to the
    Middleport Rotary scholarship
    fund or the Middleport fire-
    men's building fund.
