Janice L. Colonna, 34, of 325
South Ave., died Thursday at the
Medina Memorial Hospital after a
long illness.
She was born July 15, 1954 in
Medina. Her parents are Harold and
Mary (Bensley) Whiting.
Mrs. Colonna had lived in Medina
all of her life. She was a graduate of
Medina High School and a member
of St. Mary's Roman Catholic
Church. She was a former member
of the Medina Memorial Hospital
Twig Association. Having an interest
sports, she had been a member of
several bowling and softball teams.
At one time she worked at Fisher-
Price in the engineering office.
Mrs- Colnnna is survived-by_her husband,
Raymond Colonna; two
children, Stacey and Scott Colonna,
both at home; her parents, Mr. and
Mrs- Harold Whiting of Medina; two
sisters, Mrs, Jeffery (Deborah) Foster
Of Medina and Melinda Whiting
of Bedford Hills, N.Y.; one brother,
Barry Whiting of Rochester; her
grandmother, Mrs. Ralph (Erma)
Whiting of Medina; her father-inlaw,
Raymond "Babe" Colonna of
Albion; several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
-There are no prior calling hours,
A memorial, mass will be held Tuesday
evening at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's
Church. Funeral arrangements were
made through the Bames-Tuttle Inc.
Funeral Homer 236 Bead St.
Memorial gifts may be made to a
special fund in her name to the
Medina YMCA or to the Lee-
Whedon Memorial Library.
