    Mrs. Rose Demsey,72, of 9
    Westminister Rd., New Hartford,
    died today in the Charles
    T. Sitrin Home after a long
    illness.
    She was born May 27, 1888,
    in London, England, and came
    to'Utica from London a year
    later with her family. She
    was the daughter of Ben and
    Leah Benjamin.
    She was married to Ben
    Demsey in 1909 in Utica. He
    died Feb. 27, 1924.
    Mrs. Demsey was a chart-
    er member of Temple Beth El
    and its Sisterhood.
    She leaves a son, Samuel J.
    Demsey, Utica; a sister, Mrs.
    Emanuel A. Lichtman, Utica;
    two brothers, I. S. Benjamin,
    Utica and Herman Benjamin,
    Erie, Pa.; four grandchildren;
    two great grandchildren and
    several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will be at 1 to-
    morrow afternoon from the
    Tifereth Zvi Synagogue,
    James St., with Rabbi May-
    nard Hyman, Rabbi Isaac
    Freeman and Contors Martin
    mermelstein and Paul Nieder-
    land, officiating. Burial will
    be in the Tifereth Zvi Ceme-
    tery, Whitesboro.

    Rose married DEMSEY, Ben in 1909 in Utica, Oneida County, NY. Ben died on 27 Feb 1924. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
