    of Henry Benthin, died last Thursday
    night at St. Jerome's Hospital. Born
    at Alabama. Mrs. Benthin had been a
    resident of- this .vicinity for many
    years.
    Surviving besides her husband, are
    her mother, Mrs. Emma Kraatz of
    Alabama; five brothers, Andrew.
    George, Irving and Charles of Alabama,
    and Joseph of Medina: three
    sisters. Mrs. Clayton Pittman of Albion,
    Mrs. Elmer Marble.of Alabama
    and Mrs. John Schilling of Middleport
    and several nephews and nieces.
    Private funeral services were held in
    her home on Main Street at 2 p . m .
    Sunday, and at 3 p. m. public serv-
    ices were held at the Evangelical
    church of Medina.

    Notes:

    Norma Arlene (Pittman) Lawvey, age 89, entered into rest on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Odd Fellow & Rebekah Heath Care Facility surrounded by her loving family. Born January 22, 1928 in Albion, Norma is the daughter of the late Clayton and Ada (Kraatz) Pittman.

    Norma married the late Gordon O. Lawvey on November 19, 1949 in Medina. Mr. Lawvey died March 30, 2004. She worked as a Paternity Investigator for Niagara County Department of Social Services retiring in 1987. Norma enjoyed camping, gardening, her dogs and spending time with her loving family.

    Surviving Norma are her daughters: Cathy Sue (Lawvey) Stone and Sandra Kay Kast; grandchildren: Brian, Shelly, Chad, Derek and Tina. She is also survived by several great and great-great grandchildren. Sister of: Shirley Maine and Sally (Robert) Kean.

    Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Wrights Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Niagara County SPCA.

    Norma married LAWVEY, Gordon O on 19 Nov 1949. Gordon died on 30 Mar 2004. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Emily Ann Schultz of Middleport passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Orchard Manor Nursing Home, Medina, NY. Mrs. Schultz was born in the Town of Royalton on August 9, 1925, daughter of the late John and Esther (Kraatz) Schilling and she has lived in the Middleport area all of her life. She and her husband, Elmer G. Schultz, were married on October 31, 1947 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Medina. She was a cafeteria worker employed by Royalton-Hartland Central School. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she made all the banners for the church and she volunteered at the Medina Hospital office for 14 years. Mrs. Schultz enjoyed her family and she also enjoyed making patchwork quilts. She is survived by her husband, Elmer G. Schultz; three daughters, Donna (Dennis) Besco of Gasport, Judith Schultz of Barker and Nina (Patrick) Smith of Naples, NY; four grandchildren, Jennifer Branch and Jason Besco, both of Gasport, Colleen (Jon) Betrus of Naples, NY and Justin Smith of Luxembourg. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service to be held Monday, at 11:00 AM at Royalton Mt. Ridge Cemetery with Vicar Richard Wolf officiating. Memorials to Holy Cross Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the Schultz family. Arrangements by the Bates, Wallace &Heath Funeral Home, Middleport, NY.

    Sandra K. Kast, age 65, of Lockport, entered into rest on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Eastern Niagara Hospital at Lockport. Born October 31, 1953 in Batavia, NY, Sandra is the daughter of the late Gordon and Norma (Pittman) Lawvey.
    Sandra worked at Chameleon Colorcard in Lockport. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, baking, especially her strawberry pie and her famous Christmas cookies. She loved being outdoors hiking with her dog Mylee and kayaking.
    Surviving Sandra are her children: Tina (Robert) Pazyck, Chad (Shannon) Kast and Derek (Krystal) Kast; grandchildren: Jose, Mariah, Michael, Amanda, Christopher, Anastasia, Jayden, Caleb, Derek, Sophia, Nathan, Dylan and the late Anthony Edick. Also surviving is her great granddaughter: Emma Jean; sister: Cathy Sue Stone; special friend: Michael Maloney: children’s father: Kevin Kast and several nieces and nephews.
    Family and friends are invited to attend visitation at the Kenneth H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139 East Avenue, Newfane, on Friday, March 22, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be held at Wrights Corners Cemetery on Saturday, March 23, 2018 at 11 am.

    Judy K. SchultzOctober 17, 1950 — December 6, 2022Barker:  Judy K. Schultz, 72, went to be with our Lord December 6, 2022.  She was born October 17, 1950 in Medina the daughter of the late Elmer G and Emily Ann (Schilling) Schultz.  Judy graduated from Royalton Hartland Central School and then graduated from Genesee State College and Brockport State with her Teacher Certificate.  She was a beloved Kindergarten teacher at Barker Elementary School for 31 years. Judy was a member and played the organ at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Lyndonville Busy Buddies and Johnson Creek Seniors and the NYS Retired Teachers Association.  After retirement Judy volunteered at the Dale Center in Lockport.  Judy loved spending time with her family, traveling, dogs and keeping up on her former students lives. Judy is survived by her sisters, Donna (Dennis) Besco of Gasport, Nina (Patrick) Smith of Naples; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Robert) McAndrew, Jason, (Sue Porter) Besco, Colleen (Jon) Betrus and Justin Smith; great-nieces & nephews, Emily Branch, Allison Branch, Jacob Betrus, Connor Betrus and Robert McAndrew; several cousins and lifelong friends. The family will receive friends at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday December 10, from 11:00-12:00, followed by Judy’s funeral service at the church.  Private interment will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304 or the Holy Cross Lutheran Church 133 Telegraph Rd.
