Marie V. "Grandma" Allen Music Teacher
Marie V. "Grandma" Allen, 84, of Hancock, NY, entered into rest on Monday, August 12, 2002 at Del. Co. Countryside Care Center, Delphi, NY. She was born on February 3,1918 in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter of Milfred and Elsie (Dempster) Voelker. She was married to Charles Allen, who predeceased her on April 29, 1995. She was a volunteer in reading and music at Hancock Central School and a volunteer at St. Paul's Vacation Bible School. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kevin and Charlene Caramore of Hancock, NY; three grandchildren, Adrienne, David and James; one brother, Roy Voelker of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister, Carroll Cisek of Sanborn, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2002 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, Hancock, NY with Father Stephen Morris officiating. Burial will be held Friday, August 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at the Wheatfield Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY. Memorials contributions may be made to the Hancock Community Education Foundation.
