    Mr. Toussaint was born Dec.
    17, 1904 in the Town of
    Somerset He had lived in the
    Jeddo area for several years
    and moved to Lockport four
    years ago. He worked at
    Harrison Radiator for 25 years
    as a press operator, retiring in
    1973.
    Surviving are his wife, Mary
    H. (Altman) Toussaint; one
    daughter, Mrs. Robert
    (Genevieve) Nelson of Lockport;
    one son, Richard L.
    (Marion) Toussaint of Medina;
    three grandchildren. Robert
    Nelson Jr. of Lockport, Denise
    and Shari Toussaint both of
    Medina; two brothers and
    three sisters, Mrs. Albert
    (Gladys) Barnard of Florida,
    Mrs. Jennie Mae Drake of
    Lockport, Mrs. Peter
    (Dorothy) Murden of Virginia,
    William Toussaint of Lockport
    and Vernon Toussaint of
    Medina; several nieces and
    nephews.
    He was also brother of the
    late Viola Petrie, Marguerite
    McEnroe and Marion Hart

    Bates, Wallace and Heath
    Funeral Home Inc., 38 State
    St, Middleport, where funeral
    services will be held Saturday
    at 1 p.m. The Rev. Gerald
    Grimm will officiate and
    burial will be in Hartland
    Central Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT — Jennie M. Drake passed away October 12, 2012 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab & Health Care Center. Born in Lyndonville, NY, January 4, 1918, she was the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Deitrich) Toussaint. Jennie worked for Packaging Corporation of America for over 30 years as the administrative assistant, retiring in 1981. She was a volunteer with the American Red Cross for 20 years and a 50-year member of the Professional Secretaries Club.

    Jennie is survived by her sister, Dorothy Murden of Norfolk, VA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Clifford Toussaint, Viola Petrie, Gladys Bernard, William Toussaint, Marguerite McEnroe, Vernon Toussaint and Marion Hart.

    There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, October 16th, at 9:30 AM in All Saints Parish at St. Mary's Church, 5 Saxton St., Lockport. Entombment will be in Glenwood Mausoleum.

    Genevieve E. Nelson passed away March 26, 2022 in Northgate Manor. Born November 23, 1933 in Medina, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Payne) Toussaint and, step-daughter to the late Mary Toussaint.
    Genevieve worked for Niagara County as a secretary at Mount View Health Care Facility and the Department of Public Works until her retirement in 1991. She was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church where she belonged to the Altar Guild and the Vestry. Genevieve loved her family more than life itself. She loved taking care of her family and golfing with friends. Her family was the most important part of her life.
    Genevieve was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Nelson, Sr., on April 11, 2007; and her brother, Richard Toussaint. She is survived by her loving son, Robert J. (Diane) Nelson, Jr.; cherished grandchildren, Nadine (Eric) Speer, Carly (Terry Smith) Nelson, and Robert J. (Amanda) Nelson III; beloved great-grandchildren, Brock R. Speer, Natalie L. Smith, Jordan Smith, Jayden Smith, Ryan J. Nelson, and Jonathan Cifelli; sister-in-law, Marion Toussaint; several nieces and cousins.
    Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 31st from 4-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral services will be celebrated Friday, April 1st at 10 AM in Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
