Leland T. Berry, 86, of 102
Second St., Rouseville, Pa., father
of two Lockport residents,
died Friday morning in a hospital
at Oil City, Pa., after a
brief illness.
Mr. Berry has been an oil producer
in the Oil City area all his
life.
He was born in Balltown, Pa.,
the son of Anna and Peter Berry.
Surviving are eight children,
Thaddeus Berry and Miss Edith
Berry, both of Lockport; John
F. Berry of Oil City; Leland H.
Berry of Canoga Park, Calif.;
Paul Berry of Danville, Wash.;
Mrs. Evelyn Hillyard of Valejo,
Calif.; Mrs. Anna Stoltz of Bakersfield,
Calif, and William Ber
ry of Frewsburg; also 16 grandchildren
and 19 great - grand-
children.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charles
A. Morrison Funeral Home, 110
Petroleum St., OH City, where
funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. El-
roy Sayers, pastor of Plumer
Methodist Church, Plumer, Pa.,
will officiate.
Burial will be in Plumer Cem-
etery.

LOCKPORT - Thaddeus W.
Berry Sr. of 303 Beattie Ave., died
Monday.
He was born July 25, 1919 in
Plummer, Pa., son of the late Leland
and Ethel (Switzer) Berry. He was a
U.S. Army veteran of World War fl
and had lived in the Lockport/
Newfane area 'most of his life. He
retired in 1981 from the Upsgn Co.
Mr. Berry was a member of the
Lockport Eagles and the First Presbyterian
Church of Lockport.
His first wife, Mary G. Berry,
died in September of 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Irene
A. Berry; one son arid two daughters,
Thaddeus W. (Jennifer) Beny Jr.
of Michigan, Mrs. Earl (Mildred)
Snyder of Lockport and Mrs. Vincent
(Malianne) Ryan of the state of
Washington; seven grandchildren,
Robert G. Snyder of Florida, Christopher
G. Aiken of Gasport, Garrett
Lee Berry of Almond, N.Y., Melanie
Faith Ryan, Thaddeus John Ryan,
Laura Grace Ryan and Joseph James
Ryan, all of Washington.
Also surviving are three greatgrandchildren;
two brothers, Leland
(Freda) Berry of California, Paul
(Mary) Berry of the state of
Washington; two sisters, Edith Berry
of Lockport, Evelyn Hillyard of
Nevada; five stepsons; one stepdaughter;
seven_^tepgrandchildren,
and one stepgreat-grandchild.
Memorial gifts may be made to
the American Cancer Society or the
Heart Fund.
Funeral arrangements, incomplete
at this time, are being made through
the Bates, Wallace and Heath Funeral
Home Inc., 38 State St.,
Middleport.
