    JOSEPH R. BERUBE, age 92 of Sanborn, NY, was called peacefully to his heavenly home on March 5, 2021 at the Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY. Born in Solon, Maine on December 9, 1928; son of the late John and Ida May (Briton) Berube. He came to Western New York in 1950, and was united in marriage to Phyllis M. Hamann, on May 6, 1951. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2015. Joseph served in the United States Air Force, from 1947-1949. He was employed as an electrician at Spaulding Fibre in Tonawanda. Joseph was a long time member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Shawnee, where he had served on the council, building and grounds, and an usher. He was also a member of the American Legion- Sikora Post 1322 in North Tonawanda; and over the years enjoyed camping, playing cards, and going out for breakfast.Survivors include two children, Mark (Darlene) Berube of North Tonawanda, and Sharon (Paul) Seland of Sanborn; grandchildren, Eric Moje, Danielle Berube, David Berube; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Goble, Craig Seland, and Darryl Seland; great grandson, Tyler Moje; step-great-grandchildren, Jaycie Seland, Jolie Seland, Cole Seland, Rebecca Godri, Jackson Goble, Wesley Ziolek, and Lily Ziolek; nieces and nephews.Also predeceased by a son, Dale J. Berube; four brothers, Lewis, Norman, William, and Bernard; and five sisters, Bea, Loretta, Jannette, Lucille, and Dorothy.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) Town of Wheatfield, NY on Thursday (March 11) from 4-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Ronald Lord, on Friday (March 12) at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 3921 Mapleton Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 (Town of Wheatfield). Interment with military honors will follow, in the Wheatfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church, or Niagara Hospice.

    Joseph married HAMANN, Phyllis Marcea on 6 May 1951 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. Phyllis (daughter of HAMANN, Edwin Elton and WINTER, Lily E) was born on 5 May 1932 in Niagara County, NY; died on 31 Jul 2015 in Degraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY.     Bernard J. "Bernie" Berube passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 in Elderwood at Lockport. Born on February 17, 1934 in Solon, ME, he was the son of John B. and Ida Mae Butler Berube.
    Bernie served in the Air Force from 1952-1956 and was an appliance repairman, retiring from Montgomery Ward. Bernie enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and traveling.
    Bernie was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Berube and daughter, Brenda (Lynn) Hoffman. Bernie is survived by his children, Cathy Sims, Randy (Denise) Berube and John (Oneida) Berube; six grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; his brother, Joseph (late Phyllis) Berube and several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call on Thursday 4:00-7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave. Private interment in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the veterans charity of one's choice.
