Mrs. Maria C. Bevacqua, 69,
of 633 16th St, ,wife of Petro
Bevacqua, died early today at Memorial
Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Bevacqua was born in Italy
and came to this country in 1906.
Last April, she and her husband
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Bevacqua was a
member of the Medonna del Perpetuo
Soccorso, Society delle
Anime Santa del Purgaturio and
Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Society.
In addition to her husband, she
is survided by four sons, William,
Paul, Frank and Ernest Bevacqua;
four'daughters, Mrs. Marshall Lago,
Mrs. James Riggt, Mrs. Charles
Guagenti and Miss Norma Bevacqua;
and 11 grandchildren, all of
this city.
Funeral services will be held at
9 a.m. Monday at the Spallino Funeral
Home, with a Solemn High
Mass of Requiem at 9:30 a.m. at
St. Joseph's Church, Interment will
be in St Joseph's Cemetery

York, member of one of the leading
Italian-American families of
the city, and widely known as one
of the foremost sports promoters
and enthusiasts of the community,
died Tuesday at the John Hopkins
hospital at Baltimore after an
operation. He was 35 years old.
After his marriage to Olive
Guido of Ganson street. North
Tonawanda, he resided in this
city for several years and later
moved back to the Falls.
Born in Niagara Falls, Mr. Bevacqua
was a son of Mr. and Mrs.
Peter Bevacqua. He was associated
with Walter S. Johnson, building
contractor, for many years.
For a number of years he was
American Legion Softball League,
a leading figure in athletic events
and was vice-president of the
a past officer of the Club Ambassador,
and a member of the Holy
Name Society of St. Joseph's
church.
Besides his parents and his wife,
Olive Guido Bevacqua, he is survived
by four brothers, William,
Paul, Frank and Ernest, and five
sisters, Mrs. Carrie Lago, Mrs.
Margaret Riggi, Mrs. Elizabeth
Pontpinto, and the Misses Mary
and Norma Bevacqua, all if Niagara
Falls,
The funeral will be held from
his parents' home, 833 18th street,
Niagara Falls, at 9 a.m. tomorrow
morning, with services at the St.
Joseph's church at 9:30. Burial
will be in St. Joseph's cemetery

NIAGARA FALLS —
Norma Rose (nee Bevacqua) Nielsen, 81, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 10, 2014 in Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, FL, after a brief illness. She was born on April 13, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Maria (nee Cariolana) and Peterangelo Bevacqua.
She was educated in the local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On April 28, 1956, the former Norma Bevacqua married Harlan L. "Hal" Nielsen in St. Joseph Church. He passed away on January 10, 1996. For many years, Mrs. Nielsen worked as a secretary for Vanadium Corporation and the Alcohol Council of Niagara County retiring in the mid 1990's. Norma was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Italian Sons and Daughters of America Power City Lodge. Her pastimes and hobbies include cooking, baking, gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Norma is survived by two sons, Mark P. (Beth) Nielsen of Longwood, FL and Harlan D. "Hal" (Amy) Nielsen of Orlando, FL; six loving grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; six brothers, late Anthony Bevacqua, late Burt Bevacqua, late Paul Bevacqua, late Ernest Bevacqua, late William Bevacqua, late Frank Bevacqua; and five sisters, late Antoinette Bevacqua, late Elizabeth Pantepinto, late Carrie Lago, late Margaret Riggi, and late Mary Guagenti.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 4-8 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where prayers will be said on Saturday morning at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Rev. Stewart M. Lindsay, OSFS, officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends invited. Art P. Bevacqua, 74, of Lewiston, NY, passed away January 1, 2024. Art was the son of late William and Herva (Mayville) Bevacqua and the husband of the Donna (Slango) Bevacqua, who he married on December 1, 1979.
Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, Art attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1967. He then attended Niagara University, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 
Art worked various jobs throughout the years, including at Carborundum, as Credit Manager at The Buffalo News, Grey Line Tours, and Seneca Niagara Casino. Art was a huge fan of the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Notre Dame Football, and loved caring for his dogs.   Above all, Art loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, Art is survived by his children, Jason (Lisa) Bevacqua, Michael (Stephanie) Bevacqua, and David Bevacqua; his grandchildren Brenden, Lukas, Jenna, and Reagan; a sister, Betty (late James) Rienzo; and a sister-in-law, Lynn Yarger. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert (Anne) Bevacqua.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 6 from 2 - 6 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304 where funeral services will be held at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Niagara Hospice or Niagara County SPCA.

Elizabeth A. Bevacqua, 62 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Williamsville, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Betty A. (Patsolic) Bevacqua and the late Ernest W. Bevacqua.
Liz as she was affectionately known attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School.  She later went on to receive her Bachelors Degree from Keuka College and Masters Degree from the University of Buffalo.  Liz was employed at Opportunities Unlimited in Niagara Falls for 32 years and most recently at Kalos Inc. in Niagara Falls as an Enrollment Coordinator for the last couple years.
Liz loved music and had a passion for the blues and was a gifted artist who enjoyed water color and oil painting.  In her younger years she was an avid bowler and participated in various leagues.  Above all Liz enjoyed spending precious time with her beloved family.
Along with her loving mother, Liz is survived by her siblings, Lucy (Ron) Soluri, Cynthia (Kevin) Mislin and Ernest (Danielle) Bevacqua; nieces and nephews, Ron (Amy) Soluri, Jr., Theresa (Michael) Schuey, Deena (James) Andrews, LeeAnn (Jeremy) McMaster, Keith (Tina) Mislin, Zoe Bevacqua and Gia Bevacqua; great nieces and nephews, Rachel, Michael, Lauren, Judianne, Anthony, Avery, Dylan, Seth and Ethan; dear friend Lynn Forster, an uncle, aunts, cousins and her beloved dogs Diana, Astra and Natasha.

Mark Peter Nielsen, age 58, of Longwood, Florida, passed away on April 5, 2021.
Mark was born on March 25,1963 in Niagara Falls, New York, where he spent most of his life before moving to Florida in 1996.

Son of the late Harlan Lee and Norma Rose (Bevacqua) Nielsen, and brother of the late Harlan (Hal) David Nielsen.

He is survived by his wife, Beth (Kimball) Nielsen and four children, Aria Rose Nielsen, Ian Paul Nielsen, Brendon David Nielsen and Tyler Mark Nielsen and 3 beautiful granddaughters, Hallee, Elysia and Mya. Uncle of Aaron Nielsen and Peter Nielsen. Nephew, cousin and friend to so many.

Through the years, Mark was employed with companies such as Perot Systems and FedEx where he was a Software Developer, but his "job" if asked, was a Musician and songwriter. He played in many bands while growing up, Vision, Viper and continued with bands such as Crabby Earl, Left of Grey, 3 Bucksworth and Atlas Moon and recorded many original albums. While with them, he opened for bands such as America, Little River Band, Sister Hazel, 38 Special, Blues Traveler, Brantley Gilbert, Maggie Rose, Kenny Loggins, and Eddie Money,

In addition to the music, his passions were his family, Cub Scout Leader, Boy Scout Troop leader and baseball fanatic, especially watching his boys play, enjoying his son's art or watching his granddaughters play, sing and learn guitar. Anything to do with cars and Harley's, hunting, fishing and the band RUSH.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wekiva Island May 2nd from the hours of 10-5 in the Classroom and Cabana, so please stop by at your convenience. David W. Bevacqua, 61, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, NY after a long illness. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of William and Shirley (S’dao) Bevacqua.

David was a lifelong resident of the area. He attended local schools, graduated from Bishop Duffy High School and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree at Niagara University. He married Micheline (Bellemore) Bevacqua on New Year’s Eve in 1986. David was the vice president of his family’s business S’dao Furniture in Niagara Falls. He was an active member and served as past president of the board of associates of Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. David was an avid golfer and thirty-six year member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club. He also organized many charity golf tournaments. David’s other pleasure was playing pool during the winter months with his golf friends who were known as the “Sweet Sixteen.” He also had lunch with a select group of friends every Thursday at the Como for the past forty years.

In addition to his wife of twenty nine years, David is also survived by four children; Nicole (David) Balzer, Alex (Savana) Bevacqua, Christopher (Feren) Bevacqua and Lauren Bevacqua; five grandchildren, one sister Beth (Jack) Maggi and was also loved by his extended family and many friends.
