Obituary
Beverly B. Jeffery, age 86, of Ransomville, died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. Beverly was born April 8, 1937, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Jean A. (Newing) Bills. They moved to Ransomville, and she has been a resident for over 80 years. Beverly was a 1954 graduate of Wilson High School and she married Frank T. Jeffery in 1956.
She was primarily employed by McLaughlin and Slate Accountants in Lockport as an administrative assistant for many years. Over her time in Ransomville she had many career highlights including being Dr. Piazza's personal secretary, bookkeeper for Frank's construction company and Longaberger Basket Consultant. Beverly's expertise was often called upon to assist various local businesses with their accounting software.
Beverly was an active member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church for over 65 years and served as its' Treasurer for 40 years. She was also elected and served as the first female Councilperson of the Porter Town Board. Beverly loved to read and was a great supporter of the Ransomville Library. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family.
She is survived by a daughter Lori (David) Taylor and a son Peter T. (Laura) Jeffery; her sisters Gail (Elmer) Holstrom and Jacquline (Scott) Fetterhoff; her brother Paul (late Brenda) Bills. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Zeva (Wren) Andrignis, Anthony (Stephanie) Reed, Andrew (Jessica) Jeffery, and Katelyn Jeffery; and seven great-grandchildren. Beverly enjoyed her many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter Janet (Michael) Fedak and a brother Charles (Nancy) Bills.
Friends may call at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Saturday, March 23, from 1 to 3 pm. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 3:00 pm. RANSOMVILLE —
Janet L. Fedak, age 51, of Ransomville, died on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, showing incredible strength through it all. Janet was born on June 13, 1962 in Ransomville, the daughter of Beverly (Bills) Jeffery of Ransomville and the late Frank T. Jeffery.
She was a 1980 graduate of Wilson High School and received her Associates Degree in Travel and Tourism from Genesee Community College in 1983. Janet worked as a travel supervisor for GM Delphi in Lockport. For the past 17 years, Janet has been employed by the Dale Association Senior Center in Lockport. She enjoyed her many experiences and adventures in the travel industry. Janet was a member of the Ransomville United Methodist Church where she had served as Financial Secretary, working with their youth programs, and in many other capacities. She enjoyed jewelry making, needlework, and other crafts as well. Her family and many friends will miss her ready smile and "I'm okay" reply.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Fedak, whom she married on July 25, 1992; her mother, Beverly (Bills) Jeffery of Ransomville; a sister, Lori (David) Taylor of Fort Collins, CO; a brother, Peter T. (Laura) Jeffery of Ransomville; her nieces, Mariah Taylor and Katelyn Jeffery; her nephews, Andrew Jeffery and Anthony (Stephanie) Reed; her great-nephews, Carson and Silas Reed; and her mother-in-law, Mary (late Michael) Fedak of Niagara Falls, NY.
Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 6th at 11:00 AM in the Ransomville United Methodist Church, 2573 Youngstown Lockport Rd., Ransomville, with the Rev. Matthew Worley officiating.
