Hospital after a long illness.

he lived here for the last 25
years. He retired from the

at 11 a.m. Rev. Canon

YMCA last night, Raymond L.
Bierly, 36, of 3059 Lincoln street.
Town of Niagara, died despite efforts
of a Tire department inhalator
crew to revive him. The firemen
worked for 25 minutes before he
was pronounced dead by a phsician.
A native of Du Bois. Pa., Mr.
Bierly had been a chemical operator
at the B. F. Goodrich chemical
plant for 19 years.

Raychell Anne and David B. Bierly
this city; five sisters. Mrs. Lucille

three-day illness.

Minns lived in Niagara Falls
for approximately 20 years be
fore moving to Cottonwood
about eight years ago.
While a resident here she was
employed as a waitress at the
former F. W. Woolworth Co.
store. Her husband, William
Minns, died three years ago.
She is survived by four children,

and Paul Minns, all of Cottonwood;
four. brothers, William
Bierley, of Nevada; James
Bierley of Reynoldsville, Pa.;

Willis Bierley of Florida; four

Mrs. Minns was the sister of

the MacDonald Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be in Anderson.

NIAGARA FALLS — Bruce Allen Carter, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2013 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Johnnie May and Margaret E. (Bierley) Carter.

Bruce was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, and attended local schools. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army and throughout his lifetime was proud of being a Vietnam veteran. During the 1970s, he designed and worked on toys at the Fisher Price Toy Co. in Buffalo, NY. Bruce had a very special way of helping others in his own special way.

Bruce is survived by two sons, Jason (Christina) Carter of Niagara Falls, NY and John Carter of Lockport, NY; five grandchildren, Kayla, Julien, Joshua, Savannah and Julienna; seven siblings Christopher, Ted, Mattie, John, Billy Carter, Delphia Rocko and Judith Piche; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Peggy Mackie.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 11 AM to 12 Noon at M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468-19th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where memorial services will follow at 12 Noon. Interment with military honors in Oakwood Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission, 1023 Ferry Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.

John F. Myrtle, Jr. age 72 of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into rest on March 14, 2024 at the Buffalo V.A. Medical Center. Born in DuBois, PA on June 30, 1951; son of the late John and Kathryn (Bierley) Myrtle, Sr. John served in the United States Army from 1968-1971, during the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, cookouts, family gatherings and his pets, especially Rottweilers. John was known for telling jokes and making people laugh. Prior to living in Niagara Falls, he loved living in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Survivors include three sons, Bill Myrtle, John Myrtle III, and LeRoy Myrtle all of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Elizabeth "Beth" Myrtle, Christine Booth, and Teresa Hescox; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Besides is parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan F. Myrtle.Friends are invited to join with his family for a celebration of life on Saturday (April 6) at 11:00 a.m. in the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in the Town of Wheatfield, NY.
