    Edgar Biggar, 94, died at his home,
    1720 Highland avenue, last night
    He was born on Lundy's lane a son
    of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Blggar,
    early settlers. He resided here
    92 years. He was educated at the
    Red meeting house, Green's Corner,
    which is one of the landmarks. For
    26 years Mr. Biggar operated a fruit
    and vegetable farm at Stamford
    from which he retired in 1917. At
    i»ne time he was an employe of the
    Peter B. Secord planing mill, Niagara
    Palls, N. Y.
    In 1881 he married Miss Hattle
    L. Groom, who died three years
    ago. Mr. Biggar was a member of
    the Presbyterian church. He was a
    member of Cataract lodge No. 103,
    and held the 60-year Jewel of that
    lodge. He was a former treasurer
    of Lundy's Lane Encampment, No.
    96. In politics he was a liberal.
    Surviving are four sons, Alonzo
    Kent, of Washington, Fred, of
    Stamford, Ont, Arthur, of Montrose,,
    Pa., Herbert, city; four daughters.

    The body is resting at the Morse
    & Son funeral chapel until Sunday.
    The funeral service will be
    held st the chapel at 3:30 p. m.
    Sunday. Interment will be In Fairview
    cemetery.

    Mrs. Ida Biggar Gray, of 606 Fourth St., died Tuesday
    (Aug. 29, 1961) in Mount View Hospital,. Lockport,
    after a four months' illness.
    At native of this city, she was the daughter of the
    late Edwin and Hattie Biggar. The family moved to
    Stamford, Ont., where she was educated. She returned
    to this city and was employed as a secretary at the Acheson
    Graphite Co.
    In 1914 she was married to
    Frederick W. Gray of this city.
    She was superintendent of
    the Beginners Department of
    the Sunday S c h o o l of First
    Presbyterian Church for 30
    years and each year directed
    a religious pageant on Children's
    Day.
    Member of Chorus
    She sang in the B r a h ms
    Chorus and the senior choirs
    of First Presbyterian and also
    St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
    At First Presbyterian she directed
    a junior choir. She also
    was a member of the City Mission
    board of directors.
    She was a charter member
    of the Mother's Round Table
    and a m e m b e r of Niagara
    Frontier Chapter No. 658, Order

    Mrs. Gray was active also in
    YWCA affairs. She was chair-

    and Dr. Herbert E. Biggar,
    both of Niagara Falls, Ont,
    and Arthur-Biggar of -Montrose,
    Pa.; two sisters, Mrs.
    Bessie Kriske of Batavia and
    Mrs. John C. Bullock Sr. of
    this city; and five grandchildren.
    The funeral will be held at
    2:30 p.m. T h u r s d a y at the
    Main S t r e e t Bell . Funeral
    Home with Rev. Hay K. Hallin.
    Bacon Memorial-Presbyterian
    Church, officiating
    Burial will be in Acacia Park
    Cemetery, Town of Pendleton.
    The family said contributions
    to the First Presbyterian
    Church Fund for Christian
    Education would be acceptable
    as tributes.

    NIAGARA FALLS, Ont.-Frederick Leflar Biggar,
    80, of 2401 High St., died Thursday (Oct. 14, 1965) in
    Grace Abbey Nursing Home where he had been a resident
    for two and a half years.
    Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y.,*
    he had lived here for the last
    75 years, He was an immigration
    officer here for 40 years,
    retiring about 10 years ago.
    Mr. Biggar was a c h a r t er
    member of St. Martin's Anglican
    Church.
    He served overseas in World
    War I with the Royal Canadian
    Rifles and was one of 10
    Canadians who survived the
    Battle of Ypres. He was a
    member of Royal Canadian
    Legion Branch No. 51.
    He was a member also of
    Cataract Lodge No. 103, IOOF.
    He had been a gardening
    enthusiast and was noted locally
    for the fine garden at
    his home. His wife, the former
    Edith Raynor, died in
    1963.
    Survivors include a sister,
    Mrs. Bessie Krisk, Batavia,
    N.Y.; two brothers, Dr. Her-
    bert E. Biggar, this city, and
    Arthur Biggar, Montrose, Pa.,
    and several nices and
    nephews.
    Friends may call at the
    Morse and Son Chapel. Services
    will be held in St. Martin's
    Anglican Church at 3 p.m.
    Saturday. Burial will be in
    Drummond Hill Cemetery.

    Obituary of John C. Bullock Jr.
    John (Jack) C. Bullock, Jr, 94, of Lewiston, NY, died on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Elderwood Skilled Nursing Facility in Wheatfield, NY. Mr. Bullock was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1925 to the late John and Alice (Biggar) Bullock. He moved to the LaSalle area of Niagara Falls, NY, with his family in 1937 where he lived until moving to Lewiston, NY, in 1973.Jack graduated from LaSalle High School in 1943, graduating 4th in his class. He then attended Michigan State University and completed one year before entering the Navy in June 1944. During his basic training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center north of Chicago he received US citizenship. Jack was honorably discharged from the Navy in June of 1946. He returned to Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He then attended Northwestern University where he graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Civil Engineering.On October 13, 1951, Jack married Dorothy Jacobi of Niagara Falls, NY. They were married for 62 years until her passing in 2014. Jack was employed 39 years with Scrufari Construction Co. as a licensed Professional Engineer, including his last 28 years there as Vice President. He was active with the Building Industry Employers Association of Niagara County, serving as its president in 1973. He was also active with the Niagara Genesee District Council of Carpenters from its inception to his retirement. He was a member of the New York State Society of Professional Engineers and was president of the Niagara County Chapter in 1965.After his retirement from Scrufari, Jack worked with Sicoli & Massaro Construction, and served as a construction arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Jack enjoyed gardening, woodworking, travel, tennis and golf.Mr. Bullock is survived by his four children, Russell (Robin) J. Bullock, of Fairport, NY, Nancy (Craig) C. Starr, of Glenolden, PA, Mark (Gloria) A. Bullock, of Niagara Falls, NY, and Beverly (Edward) M. Goldschmidt, of Westfield, NJ; seven grandchildren, Erin Bullock, Jonathan Bullock, Jennifer Fiddler, Jeffrey Bullock, Matthew Starr, Alex Goldschmidt, and Sophia Goldschmidt; and three great grandchildren, Haley and Harper Fiddler, and Wendy Bullock.
