    Obituary of Terrence Grace

    Terrence P. “Terry” Grace of Youngstown, NY husband of Laurie Herget Grace passed peacefully in his sleep on Friday November 02, 2018 at Niagara Hospice House Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 25, 1948 he was the son of the late Janson and the late Mildred (Holtz) Grace. Terry graduated from Wilson Central school in 1966 and went on to attend Bryant and Stratton College for 1 year. He married Laurie Herget on June 7, 1969. Terry Worked at Bell Test Center in the 1970’s and then became self employed as a tile setter from 1974 till 1990 when he retired to start traveling. He lived in Ransomville until 1969 then moving to Youngstown where they Currently reside, he also lived part time in Chicago, Florida and Henderson, NV. Terry loved sports and traveling, baseball was his passion. He coached Women’s softball for the Shanty and Johnston’s restaurant’s for many years
     
    Surviving is his wife Laurie; his sisters Donna (Jerry) Anslow and Denneen Grace; brothers Michael Grace and Keith (Nancy) Grace all of California; his sister in law’s, Gail Holstrom of Ransomville, Linda (Paul) Hiddie of Clarence Center and Marjorie Manning of Cattaraugus. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews in New York, California, Kentucky, Oregon and New Mexico. Terry is predeceased by a brother James Grace
     
    .A Celebration Of Life will take place on November 16th from 6-10 PM at  Ray’s Tavern 1694 Lake Rd, Youngstown .In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to ASPCA at  www.ASPCA.org.     Two motorists were killed and nine persons injured-
    one of them critically-in four separate traffic
    accidents over the weekend on rural highways The
    deaths brought to 18 the number of fatalities so far
    this year compared to 24 a year ago.

    Chestnut Ridge, Gasport. He
    was pronounced dead of a frac-
    tured skull at the scene by Dr.
    Gordon Shull, Niagara County
    coroner.
    James F. Grace, 24, of 1301

    Dickersonville Road, Porter. He
    died at Ransomville General Hospital
    about 10 minutes after his
    arrival of a broken neck and internal
    injuries.

    other injuries.

    motorist in the fatal accident in
    volving the Winter Youth, in
    "fair" condition at Lockport hospital
    with head injuries

    CAR HIT BROADSIDE
    The cars driven by the Winter
    youth and Mr. Preston collided
    at 1:55 a.m. Sunday at Rochester
    and Gasport Roads in Gasport.
    Sgt. Robert W. Nagel and Sher-
    iff's deputy William N. Sibolski
    reported Mr. Preston was driving
    east in Rochester Road and Mr.
    Winter south in Gasport Road
    when the Preston car smashed
    the Winter car broadside.
    A witness in another car, Robert

    E. Baldwin, 135 Ensign Ave.,
    told deputies he found Mr. Preston
    wandering around in a daze
    and made him lie down. He also
    applied pressure to stop the injured
    man's bleeding from a head
    cut until aid arrived.
    Mr. Winter had lived in Royalton
    for the past five years and
    was a 1962 graduate of De Sales
    Catholic High School. He was employed
    by Harrison Radiator Divison
    General Motors Corporation,
    and prior to that by Royalton
    Industries.
    He is survived by his parents,
    Mr. and Mrs. Clare Winter, four
    brothers, Louis, Thomas and Joseph
    of Gasport and Richard of
    North Tonawanda, a sister, Mrs.
    Ward Johnson of Kenmore and a
    grandmother, Mrs. Leona Winter,
    Getzvflle.
    Services will be held at 8:30
    a.m. Wednesday at the Bream
    Funeral Home at Gasport and at
    9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church,
    Lockport. Interment will be in
    St. Mary's Cemetery.
    DOWN EMBANKMENT
    The accident involving Mr.
    Grace and Mr. Boyd occurred
    when their car failed to make a
    curve in Youngstown and plunged
    down a 50 - foot embankment,
    landing on its top. The mishap
    occurred at about 10:45 p.m. Saturday.
    State Police are not certain
    who was driving the car.
    Mr. Grace Is survived by his
    wife, the former Gail Bills, two
    sons, James Douglas, 3, and Matt
    Charles, 1, and a daughter, Beth
    Jean, 2, his parents, Mr. and
    Mrs. James Grace, New Road,
    Ransomville, three sisters, Mrs.
    Donna Mason, Long Beach, Calif.,
    Deneen and Terry at home, and
    two brothers, Terry and Keith,
    both at home, and his maternal
    grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. O. C
    Holtz, Buffalo.
    A graduate of Wilson High
    School in 1956 Mr. Grace was employed
    at the Carborundum Co.,
    Niagara Falls.
    Services will be held at the
    Gentile Funeral Home, Main
    Street, Ransomville, at 2 p.m. tomorrow
    with the Rev. Glenn E.
    Piatt of Ransomville Baptist
    Church officiating. Burial will be
    in North Ridge Cemetery. The
    family will be present at the funeral
    home from 2 to 5 and 7 to
    9 p.m. today.
