A native of the Town of Newfane.
Mrs. Blanche G. Howard,
18, of 389 Vermont Ave., d i ed
this morning (Sept. 38, 1888) at
Mount View Hospital after a
long illness.
Bora April 7, 1807 in the Town
of Newfane, she was a daughter
of George and Julia Bishop
Bixler. She was the wife of
George S. Howard, who survives
her.
She also leaves a son and
daughter, Mrs. Gordon Branch
and George S. Howard Jr., both
of Lockport; two grandchildren;
three sisters, Mrs. Howard
Rush of Newfane; Mrs. Douglas
Roberts of Lockport and Mrs,
William Ackerman of Wilson.

Genesee St., where services will
be held at 3:38 p.m. Friday.
The Rev. R. Eldon Brock will
officiate.
Burial will be in Glenwood
Cemetery.

Notes:

George J. Howard of Gasport passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the age of 88. Born in Lockport on May 13, 1928, he was the son of the late George S. and Blanche (Bixler) Howard.
George was a Korean War veteran and was honorably discharged on June 24, 1952 after serving in the United States Army Infantry in Korea. He worked for General Motors at the Lockport Harrison Radiator Plant and retired in 1980 after 35 years of service.
George is survived by his sister, Barbara (late Gordon Pete) Branch of Lockport; niece and nephew, Roxanne (Steven) Hebberd of Parsippany, NJ and Todd Branch of Lockport.
There will be no prior visitation. Services were held at the convenience of the family.
