    B u r t o n and Horace of Batavia.
    F u n e r a l s e r v i c e s were in the home of
    hi s p a r e n t s Sunday.

    Mrs. Marjorie King Blood of East
    Pembioke has received word from
    the War Department of the death in
    action of her son. Technical Sergeant
    Lloyd John Blood . The. sergeant, a
    radio operator on a B-17 Flying Fortress,
    had been listed as missing in
    action since April 10. 1915 and Is now
    known to have died on that date.
    Sergeant Blood had been in service
    about two years at the time of his
    death. He took part in raids over
    several important German factory
    cities before his plane was finally
    downed by enemy action.
