    TONAWANDA, Nov. 2-The funeral
    of Mrs, Mary Kiphuth, 75, who
    died Monday afternoon, will be
    held at 2:30 o'clock Thursday, at
    the home, 84 Elm street.
    Mrs. Kiphuth was born in the
    Town of Amherst, but had lived in
    Tonawanda 27 years. She is survived
    by her husband, Fred A., two
    daughters, Mrs. Willian Grobe and
    Miss Mabel Kiphuth, a son, William,
    two grandchildren and a brother,
    Louie Bluckhorn, Jamestown

    J. Frank Bluckhorn, fifty-six years
    old a life-long resident of Erie County,
    died at the General hospital in Buffalo
    Saturday afternoon after a lingering
    illness. Mr. Bluckhorn was born in
    Getsville and had lived in Tonawanda
    somem thirty-five years. He was a mem-
    ber of the tonawanda Council, No. 117,
    Jr. O.U.A.M., which will have charge
    of the funeral. The funeral will be
    held from the Bluckhorn home at No.
    202 Young street tomorrow afternoon
    at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. David R. Jones
    of the First Presbyterian church offici-
    ating. Burial will be made in Elmlawn.
    The deceased is survived by three

    sons, Fred, Harvey and John Bluck
    hern and one daughter, Mrs. A. C
    Beiziegel, all of Tonawanda; three
    sisters, Mrs. Fred Kiphuth, Mrs. Charles
    Zuckmaier and Miss Minnie Bluckhorn
    of Tonawanda, and two brothers,
    Lewis Bluckhorn of Jamestown

    the head by a tree limb during a
    wind storm here yesterday, died today

    Mrs Elizabeth Zuckmaier. 56, wife
    of Charles Zuckmaier, died this morn
    ing at her home, 236 Morgan street.
    Death followed a lingering illness.
    She was a life-long resident of Tona-
    wanda. She was a member of Salem
    church, Morgan street, and the Ladies'
    Aid Society of the church. Besides
    her husband, she is survived by two
    brothers, Louis Bluckhorn of James-
    town and Fred Bluckhorn of Tona-
    wanda, and two sisters, Miss Minnie
    Bluckhorn and Mrs. Fred Kiputh of
    Tonawanda. The funeral will be held
    Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at
    the house and half an hour later at
    Salem church. Rev. Andrew Hils of-
    ficiating. Burial will be at Elmlawn.

    Fred Bluckhorn, a life-long resident
    of Tonawanda, dropped dead in the
    lumber shed of the Transfer Lumber
    and Shingle company. Main street,
    late Saturday afternoon. Bluckhorn
    was stricken with heart failure while
    working. A physician was called but
    Bluckhorn died within a few minutes
    after being stricken. The funeral was
    held this afternoon from the home of
    his siter, Miss Minnie Bluckhorn,
    213 Morgan street, and was private
    Interment was in Salem cemetery.

    died Sunday morning,
    Sept. 21, 1952. Born in Tonawanda,

    A. C. Beisiegel of Tonawanda; one
    brother, John Bluckborn of Bath,
    NY. He was also a brother of the
    late Harvey Bluckhorn. Private funeral
    services were held Tuesday.
    The Rev. Howard Davies officiated.
    Burial waa m Elmlawn Cemetery.

    of Public Works Harvey
    W. Bluckhorn, 53, died early today
    at his h o me
    578 Delaware
    Street, the victim
    of a heart
    attack. He was
    stricken at 3
    o ' c l o c k this
    morning. H i s
    death followed
    a few h o u rs
    later.
    A life - long
    r e s i d e n t , Mr.
    Bluckhorn w as
    well known and
    highly respected
    in the Tonawandas.
    A p -
    pointed superin-
    tendent of public
    works on January 4, 1932, he
    had served continuously since. He
    was to have been reappointed by
    the Common Council at its first
    meeting next month.
    For 23 years, prior to his appointment
    to the office, he was
    employed as a millwright in the
    lumber mill formerly operated on
    Oliver Street by the late W. G.
    Palmer.
    Mr. Bluckhorn was a member
    of the Delaware Hose Company,
    the Eldredge Bicycle Club, Tonawanda
    Lodge 247, F. & A. M., and
    the Roosevelt Beach Boat Club at
    Wilson, where he maintained a
    summer cottage.
    Surviving are his wife, Irene;
    a sister, Mrs. Arthur Beisiegel of
    Tonawanda, and two brothers,
    John of Tonawanda and Fred of
    Detroit.

    The funeral of Harvey W.
    Bluckhorn, superintendent of public
    world, whoae sudden death
    Saturday morning left an important
    void in the ranks of Tona-
    wanda's official family and its
    citizenry, was held yesterday afternoon
    at 2:30 o'clock at the
    Hilliard Funeral Home, 147 Delaware
    street, and largely attended.
    The city hall was closed for
    the afternoon to permit city officials
    and employes to attend the
    rites. Besides these attendants
    the Delaware Hose company was
    'Well represented bar a group of its
    members.
    The services were impressively
    conducted by the Rev. Walter F.
    Hetzel of the Salem Evangelical
    and Reformed church. Burial was
    in Elmlawn.
    The active bearers were: Al-
    derman Albert Westphal and
    Walter Getman, August Krueger,
    Albert Sponholz, Frank Keller
    and Herbert Kerman.
    Honorary bearers were: Mayor

    Christ S. Warren, Mayor-elect1
    Clarence Hackett, Council President
    Walter J. Wolf, Aldermen C.
    Emerson Hay, Willis Katoll, William
    Hawthorne, Walter Schoenfeld,
    Charles F. Long snd Leon

    Jamestown-An overdose of sleep-
    ing tablets probably caused the
    death of Clayton W. Bluckhorn, 35,
    of 739 East Second Street at the
    W. C. A. Hospital Thursday eve-
    ning, July 29, at 8 o'clock. Coroner
    Henry C. Wadsworth, Lakeworth,
    determined following an investi-
    gation of the case.
    According to statements made
    to Mr. Wadsworth, Bluckhorn pur-
    chased the tablets Wednesday be-
    cause he had been unable to sleep
    of late. Mrs. Bluckhorn found her
    husband asleep when she returned
    home late Thursday afternoon and
    an hour later when his brother,
    Sherman L. Bluckhorn, came home
    he thought the man's sleep was
    not natural and a physician who
    was summoned had him sent to
    the hospital. Death followed with-
    in three hours.
