December 16, 2013 Francis D. Band Anonymous The Tonawanda News The Tonawanda News Mon Dec 16, 2013, 01:31 PM EST KENMORE — Francis D. Band, of Kenmore, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013. Born on June 16, 1931 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of R. Donald and Margaret Wilson Band. Mr. Band served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and was a retired supervisor for Ashland Oil Company and Occidental Chemical Company. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Fisher Band; three daughters, Laura (David) Troutman, Julie (George Swartz) Dennis and Lisa (Dave Clabeau) Band; four grandchildren, Robert Dennis III, Nellie Dennis, Leanne Troutman and Eric Troutman, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jeanette Thoma, Robert, Richard, Gerald and Frederick Band. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM from Faith United Presbyterian Church, 3150 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore, NY 14217. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
