    RANSOMVILLE - Louise E. Coleman, 97, of Townline Road, died Friday June 16, 1995) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, after a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 15, 1897, in Amber, the daughter of George and Lena (Lord) Head. In 1918, she moved to Niagara Falls. After moving to Sanborn in 1939, she was a schoolteacher at the Old Tuscarora Road School and the former Pekin School in the Niagara-Wheatfield School District. Mrs. Coleman was a member of the Pekin United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and a former member of the Pekin Grange. Her husband, Morris Coleman, died in 1946. She is survived by two sons, Robert M. Coleman of Lockport and Ronald G. Coleman of Sanborn, a brother, John Head of Marietta, 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great -great -grandson. She was the mother of the late William J. Coleman and the sister of the late Reetha Durow. There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the family's convenience. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 460 Wheatfield St., North Tonawanda, N.Y. 14120. Arrangements were made by the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn.

    SANBORN - William J. Coleman, 50, of 805 Ten Allegheny Center, Pittsburgh, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday (Nov. 7, 1969) in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was a native, of Otisco, N.Y. and had resided in Sanborn and graduated from LaSalle Senior High School. He was also a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y. He began working for Alcoa Aluminum in 1941 where at the time of his death he was manufacturing manager. He had lived in Pittsburgh for the last two years. He was a member of the Duquesne Club and the Downtowner Club, both in Pittsburgh, and B.P.O.E. 2025 of Arcadia, Calif. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and one daughter, Barbara Lynn, both of Pittsburgh; one son, Jay W. Coleman of Arcadia; his mother, Mrs. Louise Coleman of Sanborn; and two brothers, Robert Coleman of Cambria and Ronald Coleman of Sanborn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Pike and Jones Funeral Home here Tuesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. William J. Devine will officiate. Burial will be in Arcadia, Calif. Friends may call from 7- 9 p.m. today.

    Ronald G. Coleman, 74, a retired Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. line foreman, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) in his home after a lengthy illness. He was under the care of Niagara Hospice.
    Born in Niagara Falls, he lived in the Sanborn area for most of his life.
    He served in the U.S. Navy's aviation arm during World War II in the South Pacific.
    When Coleman returned from the war in 1946, he continued his education and graduated from LaSalle High School.
    He retired from Niagara Mohawk in 1986 as a line foreman after 38 years.
    Coleman was the first constable to be appointed in the Town of Lewiston and served for many years.
    He was a member of the American Legion in Sanborn and was an exempt member of Sanborn Fire Company.
    Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Jean Pokelwaldt; three sons, William R., Richard T. and Douglas P.; a brother, Robert of Cambria; and five grandchildren.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday in Hope United Methodist Church, Upper Mountain Road and Grove Street, Pekin. Burial will be scheduled in Wheatfield Cemetery

    Charles W. Coleman, of the Town of Cambria, NY,  passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice.         He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 24, 1952, the son of the late Robert M. and Patricia [Zulke] Coleman.
    Mr. Coleman was a supervisor with Du Pont in Niagara Falls, for over 40 years, before retiring in 2010.   He was a member and Past President of the Cambria Volunteer Fire Co.
    Mr. Coleman enjoyed spending time with his family.
    He is survived by his wife of 45 years Nancy [Monkelbaan] Coleman, two sons Steven and Matthew (Jill Burt) Coleman, two grandchildren Keith and Victoria Coleman, two sisters Kathleen (John) McNutt and Roberta (Paul) Freatman, two brothers John (Betsy) Coleman and Thomas (Mariann) Coleman, also many nieces and nephews. His family will be present on Tuesday from 4-7:30 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will follow at 7:30 PM. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice or to the Cambria Vol. Fire Co. Inurnment in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria, NY, at the wishes of his family.
