She is survived by her husband,

Island, N. Y. Funeral services will

LOCKPORT - George E. Boddy, age 86, of the Town of Wheatfield and formerly of North Tonawanda, died Sunday, August 21, 2011, at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, after a brief illness. Born in Lockport, NY to the late George C. and Jessie N. (McNair) Boddy, he had been a resident of North Tonawanda for the greater part of his life, and had lived in the Town of Wheatfield for the past five years. George had been employed as a machinist for the North Tonawanda Department of Public Works for 20 years, retiring in 1987. He was a US Navy Veteran of WW II and served on the Destroyer Escort 163. George was a member of Stephen Sikora Post No. 1322  American Legion and the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 1411, both in North Tonawanda; the Great Lakes Kite Society,  the Destroyer Escort Sailors Assoc., and the Senior Citizens of the Salvation Army.  He was a 50-year member of Gratwick Hose Fire Co. in North Tonawanda. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of  six  years, Jeannette L. (Hammond) Boddy; three children, Elwayne (Debra) Boddy of Franklinville, NY, Kevin (Gail) Boddy of Wichita, KS, and Brian (Robin) Boddy of North Tonawanda; two grandchildren, Arron Boddy and Melissa Swan;  a sister, Pearl Boddy; and a sister-in-law, Alice (late Sherwood) Boddy, both of North Tonawanda. Also survived by 10 step-children, several step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Dohring of Lockport, NY; and a brother, Sherwood Boddy of North Tonawanda. Family will be present on Wednesday, August 24 from 3-8 PM at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of  Tonawanda, where a funeral service will be conducted at 8 PM, following visitation. Major Celestin Nkounkou and Major Jerry Stinson will officiate. A future interment will be in Batavia National Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to Salvation Army Tonawanda Corps,  46 Broad St.,  Tonawanda, NY 14150, or to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr.,  Lockport, NY 14094.

Delores (daughter of SCHMIDT, Otto Theodore August and STENZEL, Ella Louise Wilhelmine) was born on 9 May 1931 in New York; died on 21 Jun 1981 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. LOCKPORT -
David W. Dohring, Sr. passed away on June 5, 2014 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born in Lockport on August 7, 1937, he was the son of Walter and Evelyn (Boddy) Dohring.
David served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He worked as an iron worker with the Iron Workers Union Local 9 in Niagara Falls. David was also a member of the Redman Club, Navy/Marine Club and the Moose Club.
He is survived by his children, David Dohring, Jr., Ann (Roy) Scinta, both of Lockport, and Cheryl (Vince) Gomez of Abilene, TX; grandfather of Michael Gomez, Christopher (Kelly) Gomez, Samantha Gomez, and Mike (Michelle Ingalsbe) Scinta; great-grandfather of Khodee and Kholten; brother of Sally Rosendall of California; dear friend of the late Luella Norman.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
