  1. 1.  BODKIN, William N was born in May 1895 in Holley, Orleans County, NY; died on 11 Sep 1945 in Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY.

    William N. Bodkin, 49-year-old
    New York Central railroad engineer,
    of 518 Fifth street, died Saturday
    night in Memorial hospital,
    where he had been a patient for
    about six weeks. He was a native of
    Holley, N. Y., and had resided here
    40 years.
    Widely known as "Red" Bodkin,
    he was active in sports circles here
    for many years and won a championship
    in the United States
    Navy during the first World War.
    He was a member of the Veterans
    of Foreign Wars and the Brotherhood
    of Locomotive Firemen and
    Engineers.
    Mr. Bodkin is survived by a sister,
    Margaret T. Bodkin, of this city, and
    two brothers, John E. Bodkin, of
    this city, and Martin M. Bodkin, of
    Buffalo.
    The funeral will be held from
    his late home at 8:30 a. m. tomorrow,
    with services at St. Mary's church
    at 9 a. m. Interment will be made
    in Riverdale cemetery.
