Obituary for Michael G. Sommers
Michael G Sommers, 39 of North Tonawanda, NY unexpectedly passed away Wednesday April 13, 2022 in a tragic accident in the Town of Wheatfield, NY.
Michael was born on November 26, 1982 in Buffalo, NY and was the cherished and beloved son of Gary D. & Elaine J. Sommers (nee Gwozdz) of North Tonawanda.
Michael is survived by his sister Michele Willard (nee Sommers) & Brother-in-law Adam Willard of North Tonawanda, NY along with his wife Joleen L Sommers (nee Dold), their two young children Dominic M. Sommers & Katelynn J. Sommers also of North Tonawanda and his God Mother Carol Quinlan & Uncle Peter Quinlan of Fort Mill, SC. He is also survived by many other relatives.
Michael worked as a crystals machinist at PCB Piezotronics since August of 2010. He was always known to be a dependable & hard working person. Michael was the kind of person who was always there to help a loved one or friend in need. He was a very loving husband, father, brother & son who would do anything for his family. Michael had an incredible and brilliant mind and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Michael was always an active person who loved the outdoors, especially camping. He really was one-in-a-million, who was funny with a heck of a sense of humor who lived life to the fullest in everything he did and strived to do.
Michael will forever and always be remembered, cherished, beloved and deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 19th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the WATTENGEL Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive in North Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday April 20th at 9:30 AM from Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, Oliver and Center Street North Tonawanda, please assemble at church. Burial will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
