    Notes:

    Darryl H. Bomberry, age 72 of Lockport, was called to his heavenly home on January 10, 2018 at the Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in Buffalo, NY on April 9, 1945, son of the late Harry and Grace (Rees-Malaney) Bomberry. Darryl was employed at Wendt's Dairy in Niagara Falls, retiring in 2007. He will be fondly remembered by all, for his keen sense of humor. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching old movies, Corvette cars and reading.
    Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda Bomberry; loving step-daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Byroads, step-son, Matthew Richards; granddaughter, Lyndsey Richards; brother of Karren (decd. Ross) Salimbene, Sarah LaBarber, Kevin (Nancy) Malaney, Joseph Malaney, and William (Joan) Malaney; and will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
    Darryl was also predeceased by four brothers, Gregory Bombarry, Dennis, Gerald and Michael Maaney; and two sisters, Cheryl Ducette and Shirley Rinehart.
    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Sunday (Jan. 14) from 2-6 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Michael A. Keicher, on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. follow visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Association.

    Sgt. Gregory L. Bomberry, 21,
    of 1112 Willow Ave. was killed
    in Vietnam Friday (Sept. 6,
    1968) when a wave of Viet Cong
    smashed into his company 20
    miles northwest of Saigon.
    The 300 enemy troops, herding
    women and children in front
    of them as human shields,
    broke through a U.S. cordon
    to attack the 101st Airborne
    Division, to which Sgt. Bomberry
    was assigned.
    31 Are Killed
    Thirty-one Americans were
    killed in the battle. Sgt. Bomberry
    was reported missing in
    action Friday. His parents
    received word of his death
    Saturday.
    Born in Niagara Falls April
    4, 1947, Sgt. Bomberry was the
    son of Mrs. William H. Malaney
    Jr. and the late Harry Bomberry..
    He was a 1965 graduate of
    -Troot Vocatonal High School
    and was employed by Union
    Carbide Corp. at the time he
    entered the Army in April 1967.
    He was sent to Vietnam last
    April.
    Survivors Listed
    Surviving in addition to his
    mother are his step-father,
    William H. Malaney Jr.; a
    brother, Darryl B o m b e r r y ;
    three sisters, Karren, Cheryl
    and Sara Bomberry; three halfbrothers,
    Kevin, Joseph and
    Michael Malaney; a step-sisler,
    Mrs. Shirley Rinehart; and
    three step-brothers, D e n n i s ,
    Jerry and William Malaney HI.
    All are Niagara.Falls residents.
    Sgt. Bomberry is also survived
    by his grandmother, Mrs.
    Grace Isaacs, Buffalo.
    Funeral services will be held
    at Zion Lutheran Church at. a
    time to be announced. Burial
    will be in the Veterans Plot
    at Riverdale Cemetery. Arrangements
    are being made by
    the Otto Redanz Funeral Home.
