Kate worked as a nurse at EJ Memorial Hospital, as a head nurse on the K-3 Psychiatric Floor and later worked as an Addictions Nurse at Lockport Hospital. Mrs. Patterson was a very active in Girl Scouts serving a scout leader to scores of Niagara County Girls. With three of her "Gold Award" girls, she started a Challenger Baseball League for physically and mentally challenged children and adults in Pendleton, NY.
    Beloved wife of 45 years to William D. Patterson; dearest mother of Kristen (Richard) Strassburg, Thomas (Angela) and Bethany (Cole) Barkley; grandmother of Alyssa, Haley, Grace and Ava; daughter of the late Charles and the late Ruth (nee Price) Fingerlow; sister of Patricia (Richard) Baecker and Charlene (Kevin) Gauda; also survived by nieces and nephews.
    Services from THE URBAN BROTHERS FUNERAL
    HOME, INC., 6685 Transit Rd., East Amherst, NY (south of County & North French Rds.), Friday morning at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Girl Scouts of WNY. Visitation on Thursday from 4-9 PM.
