David Boorom Life Story
On November 21, 2023, David Reed Boorom, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly. Born on October 30, 1956 in Batavia NY, he was the son of Leanna (Gateson) Boorom and the late Robert Boorom. He married his wife, Susan (Barry) Boorom on April 27, 1985.
David always had a story to tell, he was a friend to all, and would talk to you as if you were his best friend, even if you had just met him. David loved to read. He loved spending time with his granddaughter, the two of whom were inseparable. They could often be found fishing together, spending Saturdays at Home Depot’s kids crafts, eating at the “Pig” Restaurant, and making memories. David enjoyed spending time at Jenna and Randy’s home, checking out their latest renovations, and lending a helping hand. He loved stopping by randomly at his Son-in-Law Randy’s auto shop to check out his latest projects, but mainly to sit and talk with him and all the guys. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always had a joke to tell and wanted nothing more than to make you smile and laugh.
David was employed by Empire Merchants North for several years as a sale representative. He loved meeting and talking with his customers, many of whom grew to become like family. His other job was as a delivery driver; he could be found every Saturday dropping off coffee to his daughter Jenna, lunch to his granddaughter Rachel, and bringing home DiCamillo’s bread to his wife Sue.
David was predeceased by his father, Robert Boorom. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his wife, Susan (Barry) Boorom; his daughter, Jenna Boorom (Randy Martell Jr.); his stepdaughters, Christie (Boss) Caldwell and Deanna (Boss) Quarantillo; his granddaughter and best friend, Rachel (Mrs. Murphy) Quarantillo; his siblings, Connie (Kevin) Literman, Lawrence Boorom, Jeff Boorom, and Linda (Frank) Toczek, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private celebration of David’s Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Professional arrangements are under the care of the Goodlander family, OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). Share condolences and memories at GOODLANDERCARES.com
