Akron, April 23.-Charles Borchert
died on Monday night In his home
on Main street after a lingering illness.
He was 84 years old and had
lived In this community many years.
He was active In Republican politics
and was truant officer for many years
and also chief of police. The funeral
will be conducted by the Rev. Paul
Kemmets In the German M. S3.
church Thursday afternoon and the
burial will be in Evergreen Lawn
cemetery-
Mr. Borchert leaves a wife, one
son and four daughters, Harold
Borchert and Mrs. William Gay of
this place and Mrs. Walter Fraser,
Mrs. Fred Kirchgessner and Mrs.
Daniel Bender of Buffalo, and one
brother. William Borchert of Akron.

Charles married RHINEHARDT, Mary Ann about 1889. Mary was born in Sep 1864 in New York; died on 24 Aug 1938 in Akron, Erie County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Funeral services for Mrs. Viola
Day Stimpson, wife of Fred Stimpson
of North Hartland street, Mlddleport,
who died Friday afternoon
at the home of her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. William Gay, were held
Monday afternoon at the Gay
home, Main street, Akron, and at
2:30 from the Akron Methodist
Episcopal church, Rev. G. C. Bucher,
officiated. Burial was In Evergreen
Lawn cemetery.

Notes:

Arlene B. Olds passed away December 23, 2020 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, NY. Born March 14, 1922 in Akron, NY, she was the daughter of Harold and Anna (Buth) Borchert.
Arlene was an office worker for Duriron in Buffalo. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Olds, in 1986.
Arlene was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Lockport until moving to Canandaigua, NY, to be closer to family.
Arlene is survived by her children, Janice (John) Murphy of Naples, NY, Clifford (Paula) Olds of Leland, NC, and Jeffrey Olds of Rochester, NY; and grandchildren, Laura Olds, Mary-Kate (Josh) Lewis, Brian Murphy, Caitlin Murphy; and one great-grandchild, Isaac Lewis, all who brought great joy to her later years.
Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Interment was in Cold Springs Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arlene married OLDS, Howard C on 23 May 1953 in Akron, Erie County, NY. Howard (son of OLDS, William J) died in 1986. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
