    Mrs. Bowes, born Dec. 21, 1897,
    at Somerset, daughter of Oscar
    and Mary McDonald Harrod had
    lived in Newfane the past three
    years.
    She Is survived by her husband,
    William J.-Bowes; f o ur
    sons, Leo and Edward of Lockport.
    Vincent of Wilson and Francis
    of California; two daughters,
    Mrs. Nancy Davis of Newfane
    and Mrs. Betty Piatt of Arizona;
    three sister, Mrs. Edith Peterson"
    of Gasport, Mrs. Ellen Thompson
    of Oakfield and Mrs. Elizabeth
    Herman of Medina; a brother,
    Kenneth Harrod of Michigan;
    19 grandchildren and one greatgrand
    child.
    Beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday,
    friends may call at the Kenneth
    H. Sherrie Funeral Home, 6139
    East Avenue, Newfane, where
    the family will be present from
    2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
    Services will be held at the
    funeral home on Friday at 2 p.m.,
    the Rev. August Kreutz of the
    Immanuel Lutheran Church,
    Ridgewood, officiating.
    Burial will be in Wright's Corners
    Cemetery.

Nancy was a graduate of Newfane Central School in 1956 and worked  in the school office after graduation. She was a member of the Newfane Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. No prior visitation. A graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery in Wilson, NY on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11am. She loved spending time with her family, going to the casino and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Barb was young at heart, the life of the party and could light up any room. Grandmother of Michelle Teague, Nicole Sherman, Jonathan (Cindie) Sherman, Brandi (Thom) Grabar, Shane (Meagan) Kruger, Stormi (Jordyn) Confer, Ryan (Kaley) Kruger and Hunter Kruger, Kelly and Christopher Sherman. Great Grandmother of Jordan, Riley, Max, Wesley, Sylas, Cameron and Evanleigh. Sister of Sharon Ferris, Gloria (Chuck) Burnette, Larry Ferris and the late Robert Ferris. Sister in law of Joyce (Dave), Sherry, Douglas (Debbie), Darleen and the late Dorothy, Robert, June and Viola. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and a son in law Marty Sherman.     LOCKPORT - Carol M. Hofert passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born on November 30, 1961, in Chula Vista, CA, she was the daughter of Edward and Nancy Jago Bowes. Carol worked in housekeeping at Mt. View Health Care Facility and for Briarwood Manor. She enjoyed crafting and crocheting. Carol is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Hofert; her brothers, David Bowes and Kevin (Jacquilyn) Bowes, both of Lockport and Brian Bowes of Fort Wayne, IN. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11 AM in the Lockport Alliance Church, 555 Davison Road, Lockport, NY 14094. Memorials to the church would be appreciated by the family.
