    A retired supervisor of the
    Harrison Radiator Division, Gen-
    eral Motors Corp.,, Walter C.. Boy-
    er, 75, of 5638 West Main St.,, Ol-
    cott, died Sunday (April 14, 1963)
    in Mount View Hospital following
    a long illness.
    He had been an employe at
    Harrisonn's for nine years and had
    retired in 1955 as a supervisor.
    He previously worked as a sales-
    man for 27 years with the Merritt
    Engineering Co.
    Mr. Boyer would have celebrated
    his 76th birthday Thursday.
    He was born at the Rapids,
    son of Frederick and Laura
    Leimbach Boyer on April 18, 1887.
    He was a member of the Lockport
    Aerie 825, FOE and the G-9
    Club at Harrison's.
    Surviving are his widow, Edith
    Overend Boyer; one son, Vernon
    Boyer of Olcott; four grandchildren
    and two great - grandchildren.
    Friends may call at Pruddin
    and Kandt Funeral Home, 242
    Genesee St., from 2-4 and 7-9
    p.m. The Rev. Phillip Mitchell,
    pastor of the Olcott Methodst
    Church, will officiate at a funeral
    service Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial
    will be in Wright's Corners
    Cemetery.

    Mrs. Loraine H. Meeks, 42, wife
    of Charles Meeks, 190 Niagara St.,
    died this morning in Lockport City
    Hospital where she had been
    pneumonia patient for the past two
    weeks. Born in Lockport July 15,
    1902, Mrs. Meeks attended Lockport
    Senior High School.
    Surviving, besides her husband,
    are two daughters, Mrs. William
    Q. Leyden Jr., and Mrs. Charles
    J. Oarlock; her mother, Mrs. Fred
    Q. Boyer, and a brother, Walter C.
    Boyer, all of Lockport.
    Services will be held in the Kennedy
    Funeral Home, 122 Walnut
    St., Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock
    and a half hour later In St. Patrick's
    Church. Burial will be in
    St. Patrick's Cemetery.

    Services for a 34-year-old Lock-
    port native who, with his twin
    rother, saw hazardous wartime
    duty with a Navy minesweeper in
    the Pacific will be held tomorrow
    morning.
    He was George Ivan Boyer. son
    of Walter and Edith Overend Boyer
    of Lockport, who died Saturday
    at his home on the Godfrey Road.
    Burt, after a long Illness. Before
    the war he was a machinist at the
    Dewey Almy Chemical Company.
    Mr. Boyer and his twin, H. Vernon
    Boyer, of Lockport. enlisted in
    the Navy March 28. 1944 and
    through special Intercession of the
    late President Roosevelt, received
    training and assignments to duty
    at the same shore and ship sta-
    tions. Their minesweeper was ac-
    tive in advance echelons of Pacific
    and Aeutian campaigns.
    Besides his parents and brother,
    he is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Helen Singer Boyer, and two children.
    Donna Marie and John Frederick
    Boyer, all of Burt, and his
    grandparents, Mrs. Laura Boyer
    and Mrs. Agnes Overend, both of
    Lockport.
    Services will be held at 9 o'clock
    tomorrow at the Prudden Funeral
    Home", 342 Genesee St.. and at 10
    o'clock at St. Charles Borromeo
    Church. Olcott. Burial will be in
    Wright's Corners Cemetery.
