    He is survived by a daughter,

    years; a granddaughter, Mrs.
    Edward (Sandra Jean) White,
    Gouverneur; three great-
    grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by a
    sister, Mrs. William (Lucy)
    Spain, Clayton, on Oct. 9,
    1966, at the age Of 80; and
    three brothers, Walter, former
    Clayton Postmaster, Dec.
    17, 1966, at the age of "73;
    Lloyd .-., Clayton, May 30.
    1969, aged 65, and Gordon B.,
    Tiffin Ohio, April 15, 1972,
    age 75.
    Born Sept. • 13, 1888; at
    Clayton, the son of- Louis and
    Anna Brabant Amo, he attended
    schools at Clayton and
    worked as a mason for his
    fatuer. for 12.years.
    In 1916 he entered the employ
    of the New York . Air
    Brake Co, as a shell machine
    operator at the Mill Street
    plant. In 1918, he trans-
    ferred to the company's pre
    sent location as a lathe opera
    tor in the brass machining
    department. He remained in
    this section until 1955. when
    he moved to the turret lathe
    department. He retired in
    June, 1956, after 37 years of
    service, ' ,
    He married Miss Mary S.
    Carpenter in St. Mary's
    Church, Clayton, Nov. 3, 1908,
    with Rev. B. F. Gerand officiating,
    couple came to
    Watertown in 1915. Mrs. Amo
    died Nov. 23, 1959, at Mercy
    Hospital.
    Mr.. Amo was an honorary
    member ' the Third Degree
    Knights, of Columbus and was
    a member of the Fourth De
    gree..

    -Saturday. He had been in ill
    health for some time.
    The funeral will be Tuesday
    at 8:30 a.m. from Cummings
    funeral home, Clayton,
    and at 9 from St. Mary's
    church. Burial will be in St.
    Mary's cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home this afternoon
    and evening.
    He^ is survived by three
    brothers, Herbert Amo, Watertown,
    Gordon Amo, Santa
    Barbara, Calif., and Lloyd
    Amo, Clayton.
    Mr. Amo was born at Clay-
    ton, Oct. 21, 1893, a son of
    Louis and Anna Brabant
    Amo. He married Miss May
    Woodhouse. She died in 1949.
    Mr. Amo had been postmaster
    for the village of Clayton
    for several years, retiring
    in 1963.
    He was a charter member
    of Colon-Couch post 821,
    American Legion, and the K.
    of C fourth degree.

    Born Oct. 3, 1896 in Clayton,
    son of Louis and Anna
    Brabant Amo. he attended local
    schools. Mr. Amo, retired,
    was a former marine chief
    engineer on the Great Lakes.
    He was a life member of the
    Order of Elks and a member
    of the K. of C.

    died Friday evening at 6:45
    in the Edward John Noble
    Hospital, Alexandria Bay,
    where he had been a patient
    since May 23.
    The funeral will be Monday
    at 8:30 a.m. at the Cum
    mings Funeral Home, Clay-
    ton and at 9 a.m. at St.
    Mary's Church. Burial will be
    in St. Mary's Cemetery.
    Besides his wife, Mrs. Nina
    G. LeClair Aamo, he is sur-
    vived by two brothers, Her-
    bert Amo, Watertown, and
    Gordon Amo, Santa Barbara,
    Calif.; nieces and nephews.
    Born June 20, 1903, at Clayton,
    a son of Louis and Anna
    Brabant Amo, he attended St.
    Mary's School and for the
    past year had been employed
    as school bus driver, transporting
    pupils from Clayton
    to Watertown to attend Im
    maculate Heart Central
    School.
    He was a former employe
    of the New York Air Brake
    Co., Watertown, and of the
    Frink Sno Plow Co., Clayton.
    On May 5. 1934, he married
    Miss Nina LaClair of
    Canton at St. Mary's Church.
    The ceremony was performed
    by Rev. George E. Racette.
    Mr. Amo was a member of
    Thousand Islands Council,,
    Knights of Columbus,, Fourth
    Degree, and the Northern
    New York Volunteer Fire-
    men's Association. He was an
    exempt member of Clayton
    Volunteer Fire Department.
