    Mrs. Henry Brace died Thursday
    afternoon at her home at the age of
    81 years, lacking one day. Six weeks
    ago Mrs. Brace suffered a stroke
    which resulted in her death.
    Two daughters. Miss Flora Brace
    and Mrs. Laura Harrison, of Fair
    Haven, and two sons. Fred Brace, of
    Rochester, and Bert Brace of this
    village are left to mourn her death.
    Funeral services were held from the
    home Saturday afternoon. Rev. A. T.
    Clark officiating. Interment was
    made in Springbrook cemetery.

    Miss Flora E. Brace died at
    her home, South Lake st., Fair
    Haven, Monday morning at 5 a.m.
    after an illness of two weeks. Miss
    Brace was born Sept. 23, 1869, in
    the Town of Wolcott Her parents
    were Henry and Julia Beebe
    Dates. She is survived by one
    sister, Mrs. Laura Harrison; two
    brothers, Burt of Fair Haven and
    Fred Brace of Wolcott; several
    nieces and nephews.
    Miss Brace was a member of
    the former Methodist Episcopal
    church of Fair Haven. One niece
    is located in Japan, Mrs. Betty
    Myers, and her family. One
    nephew. Lyle Harrison is in
    South America.
    Funeral services were held
    Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Becker
    funeral home in Red Creek.
    Rev. A. W. Stewart officiated.
    Burial was at Springbrook Ccmeterv.

    Fred H. Brace of Ovid RD 2,
    formerly of Wolcott died Friday
    at Taylor Brown Hospital in Waterloo
    where he had been a patient
    since Sept 28. He was 91.
    Mr. Brace was born in the
    Town of Woicott Sept 16, 1873,
    the son of Henry and Julia Beebe
    Brace. He had been employed by
    the O&C Canning Co. for many
    years until his retirement and in
    1948 he moved f r o m Wolcott to
    make his home with a son, Lyle
    Brace, in Ovid.
    Surviving, besides his son, are:
    a grandson, Terry, of Ovid; a sister.
    Mrs. Laura Harrison of Fair
    Haven, and a brother, Bert D.
    Brace of Fair Haven.
    His wife. Nettie V. Burghdorf
    Brace, died March 11. 1935.
    Services were held Sunday at
    the Robertson Funeral Home, at
    Woicott the Rev. H. Wesley Bacon
    of the Wokott Methodist
    church officiating. Burial was in
    Westbury Cemetery, Westbury.

    FAIR HAVEN-Burton Brace,
    90, of Fair Haven, died Sunday,
    April 3, at the Cayuga.County
    Infirmary, where be had been
    a patient eight years.
    A son of the late Henry and
    Julia Beebe Brace, be was a life
    resident of F a i r Haven. Mr.
    Brace was formerly a member of
    the Odd Fellows Lodge. He is
    survived by several nieces and
    nephews.
    Services were held Wednesday
    at the Becker Funeral Home, Red
    Creek. Burial in Springbrook
    Cemetery, Fair Haven. The Rev.
    Richard Wentz officiated.

    Mrs. Clara Brace Scott, wife of Ar-
    t h u r S c o t t of this village, passed
    away very suddenly Monday morning
    October 6 about 10 o'clock. She hd
    not seemed to gain sufficient strength
    since the birit of their little dughter
    about four week ago, to be able to
    leave her be. Sunday she complained
    of a pain in her side and then her
    head but was not bad enough to call
    a physician. Monday morning she
    told her husband she wa feeling bet-
    ter before he left for work. She got
    up from bed and feeling faint she
    called to her daughter, Florence, to
    get a doctor, but before he could
    arrive she wa gone. Mrs. Scott wa
    42 years of age and had proven a
    wonderful wife and mother in manag-
    ing for her large family. She was a
    member of the M. E. Church and
    Ladies' Aid Society.
    She is survived by her husband,,
    Arthur, one son and seven daughters,
    the youngest being four week old;
    also by heer parents, Mr. and Mrs.
    Henry Brace; two sisters, Flora Brace
    and Mrs. John Harrison; two brothers,,
    Burt and Fred Brace, all of this vil-
    lage. The bereaved husband and fam-
    ily have the sympathy of the entire
    community. The funeral was ed
    from the home Wedneday afternoon,,
    October 8 at 2 o'clock. Rev. W. C.
    Pittidan officiated. Burial was made
    in the Spring Brook Cemetery.

    FAIR HAVEN-Mrs. Laura
    Harrison, 74, of Fair Haven died
    Saturday (Nov. 13, 1965) following
    a long illness at an Auburn
    nursing home.
    A daughter of Henry and
    Julia Beebe Brace, she was bom
    and lived around Fair Haven
    most of her life.
    Her husband, John, died in
    1935.
    I Surviving are one daughter,
    Mrs. James Myers of Chesapeake,
    Va.; two sons, Lyle of
    North Hollywood, Fla. and John
    of Rochester; one brother. Burton
    Brace of Fair Haven; 10 grandchildren
    and several nieces and
    nephews.
    A service was held at 2 p.m.
    Monday, in the Becker Funeral
    Home at Red Creek, with burial
    in Springbrook Cemetery, Fair
    Haven. Rev. Richard Wentz of
    Red Creek, retired Methodist
    minister, officiated.

    Sept. 11. 1998 at Myers Community
    Hospital. Sodus.
    Mrs. Mead was born Dec. 3. 1907 in
    Fair Haven to Arthur W. and Clara
    Brace Scott and graduated from Fair
    Haven High School and Hannibal
    Teacher Training Class. June 2. 1934
    she married Melvin A. Mead in Rochester.
    The couple have lived in Rochester,
    Ontario Center and Sodus Point.
    Mrs. Mead taught elementary school
    in a one-room schoolhouse in Fairdale
    and later was employed at the Shuron
    Optica] Co. in Rochester during the
    1940s and 1950s.
    In her free time, she enjoyed gardening,
    baking and remembering friends
    and relatives with cards and notes on
    birthdays, anniversaries and special
    occasions: She traveled extensively with
    her family and spent many winters in
    Florida. '
    Predeceased by her grandson, Keith
    Yarbrough, she is survived by her husband
    of 64 years, Melvin; three children,
    Suzanne (James) Beachner of
    Webster. Patricia (William) Yarbrough
    of Victor and Robert (Cynthia) of Fairport;
    nine g r a n d c h i l d r e n . Scott
    (Kathleen) Triou of California, Christopher
    Triou of Rochester. Jennifer (Robert
    Key) Bruce of Sodus, Laura Bruce of
    Chicago, IL, William (Meridith)
    Yarbrough of Rochester and Morgan,
    Sean, Brooke and Paige Mead of Fair-
    port; great-granddaughter, Logan Key;
    sisters and brothers; and nieces and
    nephews.
    The Rev. John A. Lake officiated Mrs.
    Mead's Funeral Service at 10 a.m. Mon-
    day Sept. 14 at the Willard H. Scott
    Funeral Home, Webster. Interment was
    at Springbrook Cemetery, Fair Haven.
    Memorials may be made to the Ameri-
    can Cancer Society.
