    NEWFANE, March 11-Mrs. Charlotte
    M. Brandt, 60, widow of Burt
    Brandt, died Sunday evening at her
    home, 40 North Main St., following
    eight weeks' illness. She was born in
    Newfane, the daughter of the late
    Franklin and Abigail Kelley Goodrich
    and with exception of three
    years spent at the Methodist Home
    for Children. Williamsvllle, lived
    here all her life. She was a member
    of the Methodist Church and
    various women's organizations.
    Surviving are one son, Howard
    Brandt, Newfane; four brothers,
    George and Lyman Goodrich, Newfane,
    Homer, Lockport and Willis
    Goodrich, Akron, O. and three
    grandchildren. Another son, Elwood
    Brandt gave his life in World War
    II.
    Services will be held Wednesday
    at the Corwln Funeral Home, Newfane.
    The Rev. Daniel N Place wiii
    officiate. Burial will be in Wright's
    Cemetery.

    Charlotte married BRANDT, Burt about 1910. Burt (son of BRANDT, William and BIXLER, Rose) was born in Jul 1886 in New York; died on 3 Nov 1931 in Town of Newfane, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    NEWFANE. Jan. 16-Mrs. Charlotte
    A. Brandt; of this village, received
    word today from the U. S.
    War department that her son,
    Technical Sergeant Elwood A.
    Brandt, had died on December 19
    of wounds received In Luxembourg
    while serving with the 109th U. 8.
    Infantry.
    Sergeant Brandt had been overseas
    since November, 1943. He was
    a native of Newfane and a graduate
    of the Newfane high school.
    Besides has mother, he Is survived
    by a brother, Howard Brandt, also
    of Newfane.
